Mr. BasketballParticipantDavid Aldridge said:
“Several league sources said Wednesday that they believed the New York Knicks had abandoned their pursuit of Bucks restricted free agent guard Ramon Sessions, leaving the Clippers as the prime candidate for the 23-year-old. The Oklahoma City Thunder has a tangential interest, according to sources, but is not believed to be seriously pursuing Sessions.
With the Knicks still trying to keep as much cap room as possible for 2010, tying up funds in Sessions apparently is not a priority for New York, which is also in the midst of discussions with unrestricted free agent Andre Miller. However, the same limitations apply for Miller, who is looking for more than the one year offered by both New York and Philadelphia.
Despite already having Baron Davis and newly acquired Sebastian Telfair at the point, the Clippers still want Sessions, who emerged as a solid backup and occasional starter over the last year and a half in Milwaukee, where he averaged 12.4 points and 5.7 assists in 79 games last season. The Bucks’ trade of Richard Jefferson to San Antonio in June was done to help them have future flexibility, but Bucks fans hoped they might be able to retain either Charlie Villanueva or Sessions in free agency this summer.
But Milwaukee didn’t tender an offer to Villanueva, making him an unrestricted free agent, and he signed with Detroit on the first day of free agency. Now, Sessions’ future in Milwaukee is dubious at best, though the Bucks can match any offer.”
however, Gery Woelfel’s (milwaukee bucks beat writer) latest tweet is “Knicks still very much in the hunt for Ramon Sessions.
what do u think?

Basketballfuture22ParticipantMost Likely going to NY
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:50pm #188177
FutureoftheGameDidnt you read that it said he probably wasnt going to NYK.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:53pm #188181
Basketballfuture22ParticipantYea, then the end said…the knicks are still interested in him. Read the last sentence
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:53pm #188184
kong47272ParticipantI think Sessions is gone from the Bucks, probably to the clippers though I think Portland should look at him as a back up PG.
My question is what is up with the Bucks? are they trying to bottom out? They do only have one long term contract with Bogut. If they moved Redd’s contract they could make a run at the 2010 FA class, but do they really think they can compete with some of the other cities recruiting efforts? Just seems like they don’t have a plan.

Mr. BasketballParticipanti think he thought i wanted an update from him.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:54pm #188186
Basketballfuture22ParticipantPeople need to remember, this is Sessions choice.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:55pm #188187
FutureoftheGameA guy from the Bucks said that. Of course they want people to think someone wants him. Because clearly they dont.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:57pm #188189
Basketballfuture22ParticipantIf Ramon Sessions wants to start, he would go to NY.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 5:59pm #188190

Mr. BasketballParticipantnot if the knicks prefer andre miller.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:01pm #188191
Basketballfuture22ParticipantTrue. But Miller doesn’t want to go to NY for 1 year and Portland wants him.
The Knicks will then offer Sessions the MLE and the starting PG job…kinda tough to pass up at this stage in FA.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:01pm #188192

R-Dot-13ParticipantHe should go to NY.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:02pm #188193
TH38L4CKM4M84The bucks made the trades and released some players for a reason. It was either to resign charlie v or sessions. there obviously was no interst in keeping villanueva for good reason so they wont let ramon get away. He wont be offered an outrageous contract from either ny or la and the bucks like him at the 1 as they groom jennings or he can play the 2 alongside jennings.
I personally think the bucks need him. redd cannot be counted on- if by chance he stays healthy he still doesnt play defense and forces up way too many shots. I just hope he stays healthy and puts up good numbers for hopes of the team finding someone willing to acquire the 2 years $35 Mil left on his contract0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:03pm #188194

Mr. BasketballParticipanthe will get a 5 year deal at the MLE from the clippers and most likely that won’t be matched. if it is, the clippers will negotiate a sign and trade with the bucks.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:04pm #188196
Basketballfuture22ParticipantWhats the difference between LAC and NY MLE?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:11pm #188205
Basketballfuture22Participantclippers…whats the difference?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:13pm #188208

Mr. BasketballParticipantthe difference is that if the knicks are not in the race anymore, then they won’t be offering the MLE. thats the difference. i tend to believe various inside sources rather than 1 beat writer from the bucks.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:14pm #188209
kong47272ParticipantI think the difference is NY doesn’t want to buy into anything long term, whereas the Clippers will give him a multi-year deal.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:18pm #188213

dwat4444ParticipantDo the clippers not like Baron Davis or is he just too injury prone so they want a good backup…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:23pm #188219

Mr. BasketballParticipantthey want a future point since thats all their missing in their young core:
pg:
sg: eric gordon
sf: al thornton
pf: blake griffin
c: deandre jordanand they want a great backup in sessions this year, however, he will play starters minutes since it will be a 3 guard rotation where every guard gets like 32 minutes.
also, they want to have him in case baron gets injured since he is injury prone.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:26pm #188220
Basketballfuture22ParticipantListen…..
The Knicks wanted to Add Sessions for 5 years-34mil…the full MLE. They are looking at Miller but he does not wanna go for 1 season. The Knicks MLE is just as good as the Clippers are. Your being Biased because your a Clippers fan. If the Clippers and the Knicks both offer Sessions the MLE, Sessions would pick NY because he would have the Starting job.
We shouldn’t believe everything we hear, the min Odom and LA stop talking people were hyped saying he’s going to Miami…well he’s still a Laker. Let things play out.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:29pm #188224

thetruthParticipantsessions will be a knick. and andre miller will be playing for the blazers.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:31pm #188226

Mr. BasketballParticipantim not being biased dude, im just saying if it is true indeed that the knicks have moved on to andre miller, then i think the clippers will get sessions. however, if they are still in it, then it is up in the air. the odom thing was different, an offer had already been put on the table, in this case, the knicks stopped before putting an offer on the table. therefore, their interest might not be there like what we thought. miller i think will settle for a 1 year deal because no one is willing to offer more, not even the blazers.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:34pm #188229
Basketballfuture22Participantwhy would he go to the 2nd best team in LA?
The Blazers want Miller for 3 years and the Knicks want him for 1. Sessions would get full MLE and is the starter from day 1…why would I take the same money to be a backup?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:36pm #188231

Mr. BasketballParticipantblazers don’t want him for more than 1. prove the 3 year deal stuff. where did u find that.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:40pm #188233
Basketballfuture22Participanthttp://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/david_aldridge/07/21/miller/
it discusses a sign and trade for Miller, and sign and trade aren’t for a season sir…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:43pm #188237

Mr. BasketballParticipant^ uhh…ya they can be for 1 year. if they offer a one year deal, then the sixers would match. thats where the sign and trade comes in. they then would trade so that the blazers still can get miller but for a year.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:43pm #188238
Basketballfuture22Participantyou might wanna check that one out to….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:46pm #188240
Basketballfuture22ParticipantAndre Miller is a restricted FA….He can sign anywhere
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:46pm #188241

Mr. BasketballParticipant“With the Knicks still trying to keep as much cap room as possible for 2010, tying up funds in Sessions apparently is not a priority for New York, which is also in the midst of discussions with unrestricted free agent Andre Miller. However, the same limitations apply for Miller, who is looking for more than the one year offered by both New York and Philadelphia.”
therefore, the knicks won’t offer the 5 years to sessions which is why they pulled out of it. the agent of sessions is looking for 5 years.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:47pm #188243
Basketballfuture22ParticipantBut If Miller goes elsewhere…they will offer the full MLE…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:48pm #188245

Mr. BasketballParticipantthe nypost is a terrible source.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:49pm #188247

Mr. BasketballParticipantand if the knicks choose to look at miller now, the sessions party will take the clippers deal.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:51pm #188250
Basketballfuture22Participantthat’s your opinion….let me say it again
Why be a backup?
Why play on the 2nd best team in the Staples Center?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:52pm #188253

Mr. BasketballParticipantless pressure. also, stfu about “second best team in staples.” when is the last time the knicks made it past the first round of the playoffs.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 6:57pm #188257
Basketballfuture22Participantlisten, If Miller does not go to NY, Sessions Will.
and I wont stop saying it. You guys had 2 winning seasons (above 500) in the last 14 years. We made it to the finals 2 times since then.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 7:04pm #188267

HaleParticipantClippers, I really wish you talked about something other then your team. I want to see your knowledge on other aspects of the game, not just “the 2nd best team in Staples”.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 7:05pm #188269

Mr. BasketballParticipantask away. i know a lot about the other teams and the other sports i just don’t create topics about them.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 7:05pm #188270
Basketballfuture22Participantif it doesnt benefit the Clippers…you never post.

Basketballfuture22Participantshow us you know ball!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 7:12pm #188280

HaleParticipantHow do you feel about the Atlanta Hawks? Could you give me a season prediction and tell me which players will shine or improve?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 7:27pm #188291

Mr. BasketballParticipantokay:
i think that marvin williams will improve considerably this season. I also think that al horford needs to step it up this year if the hawks want to be a legitimate playoff contender in the east. if horford can get to the level where he is in all-star consideration and williams can improve more to try and prove his worth as a 2nd overall selection, then they could have a very good year and challenge in the second round due to how athletic they are. a match up in the second round vs. the celtics could be interesting (1 vs. 4 match up). one guy who could surprise people on the hawks is mario west. he is extremely athletic and has some tools. if he works really hard he could be a great spark plug off the bench this season. also, josh smith needs to improve his outside game more (just saying that, not saying that is necessary for my prediction). lastly, i think jeff teague will be a disappointment for the hawks this season as i don’t think he is ready but they won’t need him that much because of mike bibby. im predicting a 4th place in the east finish with an entertaining second round match up with the celtics that ends up in a loss. however, they should improve this year as they make for a closer second round series this year.

HaleParticipantThat was great! Why don’t you post on other topics more often? You would get shout-outs if you keep posting like that!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/22/2009 - 7:31pm #188298

Mr. BasketballParticipantim busy with other work to do. i just care more about my team so i post more regularly about my team in my spare time.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 4:48am #188424

bflaa2ParticipantAnyone think if LAC gets Sessions they will trade Baron???Maybe sign AI then but they would ahve Sessions and Telfair. Cause they need to keep the ball in the hands of Mr. Eric Gordon to make him expand his game into a superstar.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 4:51am #188426
Basketballfuture22ParticipantBaron’s Contract is too big
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 9:22am #188548
j1232eParticipantsigns sessions milwaukee will match. The bucks have allot of money to keep their future starting pg. No Mo Williams mistakes.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 9:24am #188554

Mr. BasketballParticipant^brandon jennings is their future pg…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 9:27am #188556
j1232eParticipantstill unproven, but ya jennings will probably be the future.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/23/2009 - 9:37am #188565
Basketballfuture22Participantyea but if the Knicks make a deal to get Sessions, we have better pieces to deal then the Clippers.
Also, the Knicks are looking at Miller now, but all my people I know that are close to NY and NBA people are saying if Miller gets taken, The Knicks will up the deal to add Sessions
