Future_Scoutthe boston are statiscally waaaaaay better with rondo in the floor. top 5 pg

FastAndFuriousParticipantI mean he has already PROVEN to some that his stats aren’t inflated because of the BIG 3, but this year nobody can say Rondo’s numbers are because of the BIG 3, that team has a winning record(14-10) because of Rondo.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIn my opinion, he’s a top 5 point guard. As a matter of fact, he’s either #4 or #5, interchangeable with Russell Westbrook depending if the Celtics are winning or Westbrook is consistent.
I then put Deron Williams at 3.
Chris Paul and Derrick Rose as 1A and 1B.

FastAndFuriousParticipantRondo is #3 PG to me, and is a jumpshot away from being in the talks of top pg in the league.

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participantyoungdave
What’s your top 5 list?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/07/2012 - 7:02pm #633267

FastAndFuriousParticipant1.Rose
2.Paul
3.Rondo
4.Westbrook
5.Williams

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIt seems as if 3-5 is a tight race. Deron Williams would have been runaway #3 if he wasn’t on such a bad team

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantEric Pincus/Hoopworld is guessing a Rondo for Pau Gasol trade.

FastAndFuriousParticipantLOL:
I just read the same thing that there is talks of Rondo going to the Lakers.
Remember this commercial? How odd!

SupParticipantHe’s not better than Tony Parker
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/07/2012 - 9:36pm #633314

FastAndFuriousParticipantHow isn’t he better than TP?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/07/2012 - 9:45pm #633316
SupParticipantFor starters Tony Parker has three rings and finals MVP trophy. Secondly he can actually shoot/score.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/07/2012 - 9:51pm #633318

FastAndFuriousParticipantOk that was then, were talking about 2012.
Rondo is better than TP right now today,no question.
Rondo is the better athlete
Rondo is the better playmaker
Rondo is the better defender
Rondo is the better rebounder
Rondo is a more efficent player.
So again how is Parker a better player/PG than Rondo?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/08/2012 - 12:08am #633323

omphalosParticipantYep I’d have him at #3 too, sure I’m biased because he’s my favourite player, but I love PGs who can dominate a game without scoring and make their teammates better.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/08/2012 - 3:13am #633332

PabloFiascoParticipant1. Chris Paul
2. Derrick Rose
3. Russel Westbrook- Russel over Rondo because of how explosive he is on offense, he has no choice but to score for OKC…outside of him and Durant who else can score among their starting 5
4. Rajon Rondo
5. Deron Williams -he’s dropped on my list b/c he’s playing soooo uninspired Jeremy Lin outplayed him

FastAndFuriousParticipantRussell Westbrook is my fav player and I’d love to put him at #3,but his decision making is toooooooooo suspect to be picked over Rondo, as omphalos said he can dominate games without scoring.
Don’t forget Rondo also puts up HUGE numbers in the playoffs as well and when he puts his mind to it is capable of triple double averages.
He’s done it before.

Meditated StatesParticipantDistribute the ball, play defense IMO. No one does it better. I got him behind Rose have always felt Paul was overrated. Rondo is the best passer in the L. Number two defender behind Dwight. The D importance is underrated. Best forsight and vision in the league. Really wish he shot it better. Has improved it this year but he is pass 1st player.

bball guyParticipant#3 in terms of being a player..#2 in terms of actual PG ability..
