"He should, but no one will have the balls to take a guy that high who played at Weber State".

When someone asked a GM would Damian Lillard be selected in the lottery.

What do you guys think about that?

Well if a team can "steal" a player later in the 1st round or even in the 2nd round, why not?

Well, Scottie Pippen went to Central Arkansas and was picked #5. He killed everyone at the pre-draft workouts.

True, I agree with both post.

I just feel he has proven himself enough to play with the big boys, even tho he is in a small conference and no player is on his level, I still think he has done enough to deserve his repsect and be selected lottery.

But I agree, i think pre draft workouts will determine his faith far as lottery selection or mid-end first round selection.

This tourney is going to be big for him. If he chokes, he can kiss his chances of the lottery goodbye and maybe slip into the second round. I think he plays great during the tourney and the pre draft workouts and goes in the late lottery

In order to make the lottery IMO Damian Lillard will have to be just as sensational as Steph was.. Probably more so, because people knew Curry’s name and some had seen him play before the tournament and even then, people still questioned whether Curry was going to be a good pro (and actually the question of whether or not he’d be able to hold up physically might still be legitimate). He has to really turn heads and get NBA fans excited for him to come to the NBA. Because otherwise no GM will touch him for fear of passing on a player that is a lot more visible in the public eye, say an Austin Rivers (not a fan).
