Wavy BagelsParticipantI haven’t watched Baylor play so far, but I’m aware that Perry Jones hasn’t been in the box scores. Is he injured? suspended?
Also, how would you descibe Quincy Miller’s game? and how he and Jones complement/ take away from one another?

uknationParticipantQuincey Miller plays alot like Donte Green. Perry is suspended ffor some rule he broke in H.S accepting money or parents letting someone pay a bill. He is suspended 5 or 8 games, can’t remember which

omphalosParticipantIt’s 5 games if I remember rightly, he should be back soon. I too was looking to see how PJIII was playing, but no such luck. Miller likes to shoot, so if Jones shows a commitment to banging inside they should complement each other perfectly. Otherwise, it’s hard to tell.

MkadozaParticipantMiller seems more mature in terms of how he like to attack the basket. He’s a better ball handler than Donte, and quicker too. He’s got good three point range, and as soon as he works out his place in this offense, it wouldnt urprise me if he was their go to scorer. He has the best combination of size quickness shooting, driving, rebounding, post scoring, and decision making on his team, and by the end of the year, maybe the best in the Big 12. I think he’s gonna be a stud.

bdiddy5115ParticipantMiller has a far more mature and defined game than Greene. Greene had a nice J, fluidity and size, but he ended up just becoming not much more than a floor-spacer due to his mentality.
Miller has killer instinct in him. He’s incredibly comfortable handling the ball – he looks like a guard (and trust me, I hate it when people throw around the term "guard handles"). He has a very advanced skillset, and even has a mid-post game, and plenty of counter moves. His jumper is effective but flat, but that’s usually in catch-and-shoot situations. It looks smoother off the dribble.
Its extremely premature to say, but he has more "star qualities" than most of the other prospects in this draft, aside from a select few.

JNixonParticipantMiller needs polish, but he’s a better ball-handler than Donte Greene and he’s less likely to settle for a contested standstill jumper. He will be better than Greene in the long term.
Miller needs maturity as a player, I feel. He has little to no awareness or urgency in Baylor’s zone, and he generally is just a bad defender right now. He has huge upside offensively though, because he’s a very good ball-handler and shooter for his size, and he’s an very good and very smooth athlete. He’s a 6’9 wing player who plays with star-like confidence. He seems a little selfish and he really doesn’t pass the ball much, but I could easily see him being the best long term scorer out in the 2012 or 2013 draft, whenever he comes out. He got an impressive array of moves and nice confidence already. He just needs more maturity and strength, both should come in time.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI am absolutely High on Perry Jones and Q Miller, I also like what I see in Anthony Davis and Terrnce Jones…those 4 players along with Barnes and Mccado are on my radar for sure… 1 of those 6 guys is bound to be a Star in the League, just trying to nail down which one will…Barnes looks rock solid, T.Jones looks like a versatile wing as well, Davis is going to be a top 3 player in the Draft and Q Miller and James McCado have a year to show the scouts they belong in the top ten, Perry Jones seems to be the guy flying under the radar after a subpar year next to Lacedarius Gunn, but he and Davis are the guys Im betting on to have huge NBA careers…both will be Pf’s in the League but with Perry there is a chance he could start his career playing some Sf(much like KG did early in Minnesota) I hope he takes the time to devolpe all his skills(post game/rebounding/defense/mid range jumper/post passing and shot selection, most of all he needs to show more fire out there, that would help seperate him from the pack, a killer instint)

JoeJoParticipantI’ve liked what I’ve seen from Miller froma skills standpoint thus far. Before that, he doesn’t play like Donte Greene at all. Greene was a flat out chucker in college who hoisted an unfathomable number of threes. He’s continued to be a chucker in the pros. He’s ballhandling needed improvement in college and it still needs improvement. Miller on the other hand, while aggressive offensively, is a very good passer. I was very impressed with some of his passes against San Diego State even though he had only 1 assist. He might have the most NBA moves of any college player.
The thing that concerned me is that he didn’t look quick or explosive. I hope it’s because he’s still working his way back fully from his ACL tear but unless he gains quickness, I’m not sure he has a star NBA ceiling.

kobyzParticipantMiller in his game has resemblances to Jamal Mashburn, very alike with the skill set, one on one moves, the big time smoothness and the confidence, poise he play with.
