Hi its BenParticipantThis might be a stupid question.. but when D-Wade was drafted as a rookie, he was considerably smaller physically. So I was just curious if he played point guard on that Heat team with Alonzo Mourning and co. Did he play point guard his rookie season until he bulked up and/or they got a legitimate point guard to play next to him?
Im just asking because I dont remember him his rookie year, I was a young one lol.

OhCanada-ParticipantI cant really remember but I believe he played a similar role to the one Evans plays today. I remember he definitely was a PG out of Marquette as a rooke for Miami thou, I dont remember if he was for the ring.

STATnMeloParticipantHe played the Point and Eddie Jones was the 2, Caron at 3, Odom at 4 and Mourning at 5 if I’m not mistaken or Brian Grant one or the other but Wade was very frale though he bulked up and they realized he was scorer 1st and made him their 2 Guard of the future

Meditated StatesParticipantWade was similar size. He has gotten a lil bigger, but not much bigger since then.

knicksfreakParticipantHe was the point his rookie season. I remember the exact moment I realized how good he was. It was in the series against the Pacers his rookie season where he was hitting highly contested shots over and over to keep Miami in the games.
Wade was never frail for the record.

NYK2010ParticipantWade was never frale, he always had good size.
He wasn’t nearly as big as he his now but I think he was just 20 back then.
