Which NBA player do you feel has the potential to produce the most plays on the NBA top-10. Who will be posterizing Roy Hibbert? Who will be sending blocks into the 5th row or making no-look passes leading to the open bucket.

Some guys just have a knack for highlight plays. Think Terrence Ross, Josh McRoberts, Deandre Jordan, Josh Smith

Naturally, players need to be getting consistent minutes to improve their chances.

    My picks are

    • Aaron Gordon for facial dunks
    • Andrew Wiggins for put-back slams
    • Jabari Parker for game-winners and scoring explosions

I’m interested to know what you guys think?

Aaron Gordon definetely. Zach Levine can really dunk it as well. Not really a highlight guy but Dante exum will have some sick drives.

For fast break dunks, without a doubt.

My predictions would be: Gordon for posterizing Hibbert. Wiggins for blocking shots. Voneleh for being a consistently underrated and underappreciated player throughout his career. Lavine, if he declares, struggling in a similar manner to austin rivers. Napier being a steal at the end of the first round or early second as a career backup. I dont know why but I picture Napier as a relatively perhaps more explosive and smaller version of Jarret Jack. Hopefully without Jack’s chip on his shoulder.

He will get a lot of dunks if he goes where a good passing PG is playing. He will bring energy and a underrated IQ. He is posturizing NBA players in week 1.

       Agreed.

I would love for him to slip to the Pelican’s pick and land on the Sixers. He and MCW would be great together.

He has specialized skills that will work from day one in the NBA. He may never have a complete game, but he will be an explosive athlete and defender from the start.

Imagine if the Sixers get Wiggins and Gordon. They may still only win about 20-25 games next year, but would be incredibly fun to watch.

I will go with Joel Embiid for monster blocks, powerful put backs, dunking on people in traffic and on the break.  Even outlet passes that lead to fastbreak dunks, and then the potential for some fancy footwork inside (Dream Shakes?).

Another candidate for dunks and blocks highlights is Willie Cauley-Stein.  He has some real Tyson Chandler potential there.

If you like power forwards who can rumble down the lane, make some moves, rebound in traffic, dunk, and get steals then you should like Julius Randle.  Or Jarnell Stokes.

Sleeper pick for "athletic" plays and deep shots?  Jordan McRae.

I can see Jabari Parker getting some of his own highlights but I can also see him getting dunked on and getting lit up like a Christmas tree by Kevin Durant and LeBron James.

Basically everything Andrew Wiggins does will be on ESPN so you have to mention him too.

And if Doug McDermott makes a big shot?  ESPN Play of the Day.

The dunks and alley oop smashes Wiggins gets in are awesome. His put back slams are hard hitting to the rim. Also his steals and swats on defense are highlight film material. This kid Andrew Wiggins is the new human highlight film.

Wiggins and Gordon for their fast break dunks and style of play. Marcus Smart and Parker for clutch play is a possibility too.
