 I’m a huge Minnesota Timberwolves fan and im mad happy and give huge credit to adleman and the front office for the production and good play by the guys they’ve brought in and coached up but on the other hand I’m a bit confused and disappointed with adleman and his use of the bench and minutes logged by his starters. No  way can a 7th or 8th seed hopeful team fight for such a position with a bench of JJ barea, dante Cunningham, and alexy shved. I have no problem that he’s playing them my problem is with the fact that theyr the only ones being played. I have been a derrick Williams hater since before he was drafted doubting him in every way but he’s on the team and has potential and will only play better mentally and physically with playing time and creating chemistry not by getting garbage time in the 4th. He showed potential of what he offers last year so I don’t know why adleman isn’t building off that instead he’s going backwards. Then you have shabazz. Shabazz needs to go through the school of hard knocks and be more mature but let’s not forget we’re trying to win games and fight for the playoffs and last I checked we have brewer, martin, and shved so with shved getting time at the 1 I don’t see why shabazz wouldnt get minutes. I understand not right away to make him mature a bit but I’d rather develop a guy from day one on the court having him learn on the go rather than do that mid season. We’re not the thunder last year who had the luxury to knock jlamb to the dleague while having kd, thabo and ironically martin. Not to mention the starters are seeing 38-40 min a game and 3 of the 5 had injury riddled seasons last year so not so smart play in my opinion. 

 

Regardless of all I said how I want thm to get better bench play strangely enough I hope they don’t make the playoffs this year hahaha. They picked the worst year to be good when there’s 4-5 legit #1 prospects and 20 guys in all maybe a few more who will be difference makers and big contributors so yea thats how I feel lol.  Shabazz isn’t playing because he’s not good enough, yet.  Derrick Williams is playing. The fact is that he’s not that good either and he’s playing behind the best PF in the league.  They’re both getting the minutes that they deserve.

If a team is trying to win, there is no room for entitlement minutes.
