It’s crazy how on paper, that Sacramento team looks pretty good, but then in the end, we know they’ll be the 14th or 15th seed of the west. Such a Shame…

Am I crazy to think that the Lakers will make a sizeable improvement next season? Looking at this depth chart, I just think the addition of Coach Walton & another year of improvement from Randle/Russel/Clarkson, plus the additions of Deng, Ingram and Mozgov gives this team some momentum. They could easilly improve by 10-12 wins, which is not insignificant

So both Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender won’t be the backup power forward or center?

That’s why he said that Pheonix lineup could go in ten different directions.  They both will have some opportunity to play next season.  However a lot of NBA coaches tend to stick with vets who have proven themselves to be NBA-calibur players early in the year before loosening the grip on young developmental players like Chriss and Bender.

I doubt chandler gets the nod over Alex Len, he declined a lot last season and this Suns team would probably want to see what Len is made of with two other talented young big men waiting in the wings

Your right several things could and probably will be different,  I see Speights as the Clippers back up center , Russell as the Lakers point guard not Clarkson,  I think Phoenix will gradually work Bender and Chris’s into the rotation, that will take some time though. I don’t think Sacramento is done making moves, thus offseason has been interesting and makes for an interesting upcoming season.

Nice lists, I definitely agree with most of these and the only differences I would have would be little nit picky things. Phoenix is a tough one as they can go small or go big, but nobody knows what they are going to do.

The only player I want to mention that you didn’t put up is Brandon Bass in LA. I believe he’ll get more burn than Brice Johnson next year. Bass and Speights will probably be their 4/5 off the bench.

Phoenix can go many ways but I’d expect Chriss and Bender to be in 2nd unit especially Chriss.

I’ll be interested to see what the Lakers do with Ingram, do they start him or bring him from the bench initially. I had assumed they would look to start him but with the money they have invested in Deng and Mosgov I’m now unsure. Plus they would probably really want Deng to start given the inexperience of the other starters – Clarkson, Randle, Russell etc.
