Is this move legal? if so how is the right way yo do it? I see Lebron, A.I, and D-Rose and Mayo do it sometimes, but i cant tell if its legal because sometimes the refs call travel sometimes not its very inconsistant

you just have to make sure you don’t take 2 steps before or 2 steps after the pro hop, if they don’t do that, then it is legal. If they don’t then it is called

It is very effective. I used to use it all the time and if you are athletic the possibilities are ridiculous just make sure not move your pivot foot if you hop and do twirls.

I take that back I believe if you shoot at the same time you move your pivot or take a step it will be not be called illegal. i have to look that up.

i stopped doing it because these un-educated refs in my h.s last yr always called me for a travel, anyways i think its an upgrade from the spin move t-parker and etc. use but i use both depending on the D

oh Ok. I played the SF and PF so i got to use the tear a little bit.

Ya man, I mean the pro hop is a tricky move. I used it like once or twice. Make sure you practice 1st before you use it. Like play someone 1 on 1 and use it a couple times.

a bigman with a teardrop is great only a few bigmen are versatile enough to have the ability to put it on the floor and shoot a teardrop but i can see that ur versatile since u play the wing at the 3 and the bigman sometimes at the 4

Thanks. I watched alot of tape on Barkley, Moses Malone and more recently Dirk. All big man should have some 2nd move.

Your a SG, can you make plays as a PG?

i prefer to play the point guard actually but i have to admit i need to work on my handle , i think i am a combo that can play either postition really well, and i love to set up my teammates and throw some flashy passes at the right times

Cool, You love to play the point…tha’ts half the battle! I played last year with a guy who thought he was Iverson…

Your handle is easy….just get a tennis ball and pretend its a basketball and just bounce it…It works. In like 2-4 weeks, you will be shocked with your handle.

haha iverson is the reason every 5 foot nothing point guard thinks they can score 30 a game like him, im been using the figure 8 for a few weeks and have seen some improvement , but im gonna work more with a tennis ball because i wanna play point really bad next yr.

you could always use the tyreke evans method. Duct tape one arm behind your back and proceed to play one on one with only one arm.
