A thread was created a couple or so days ago comparing the current mock ( Firstmock for 2015) to the actual draft results. The draft is almost a year away and probably no one can guess where players will be ranked around the time the draft roles along, but everyone make their predictions here.

Give your top 10 prospects in order.

    Point system:

    Guess correctly 3 points.

    One spot off 2 points.

    2 spots off 1 point.

The results will be released after the draft.

1 Emanuel Mudiay (will have similar situation to Dante Exum, who would’ve been number one pick in 2015)

2 Jahlil Okafor (too skilled to pass up)

3 Kelly Oubre (uber athletic, plus can shoot)

4  Karl Towns (not as athletic and coordinated as advertised imo from what I’ve seen from him during the Bahamas tour but he has great size, can shoot, pass, and block shots)

5 Myles Turner (not a good athlete but shot bblocking is extremely valuable to nba teams)

6 Stanley Johnson (safe pick, he’s going to defend, play hard, and has good upside aswell…ceiling= Kahwi Leonard ? )

7 Paschal Chukwu (RISER ALERT!!!  bet nobody has him  on  their 2015 draft radar… I see an athletic Roy Hibbert in 5 years. Is super raw but boy can he block shots and has great physical tools)

8 Kristaps Porzingis (good athlete, potential as shooter, can put it on the deck and…..shot blocker…notice a trend ?)

9  Kevon Looney (if he can become a full time small forward, he’s a lottery pick…. Jeff Green?)

10  Chris McCollough (had to sprinkle in a couple of surprises so my ten isn’t like everyone else’s…like his size and athleticism… nice face up big man potential)

    Notable Snubs:

Cliffy Alexander: powerful athlete but don’t see a ton of skill plus not a fan of undersized bigs… like him in mid first though because of his athleticism

Mario Hezonja: loved him when he was younger, only like him as a prospect now…rare athlete for a European wing and solid shooter, good upside

Willie Cauley Stein: unlike last year draft, there are actually other shot blocker options

    Could sneak into top 10:

Tyus Jones: some do consider him a lottery talent, others question his size and athleticism…think he’s a lottery pick if he has a Tyler Ennis type year

    Chris Walker: athletic freak

Isaiah Taylor: did some good things last year and could surprise some people this year

Rondae Hollis Jefferson: alot of people are high on this guy… he is a great athlete and has remarkable defensive range

    International riser:

Ayberk Olmaz: long, athletic, soft touch

also have to add Qi Zhou on my list of next year’s international risers/men of mystery… not many great prospects emerge from Asia but Zhou has outstanding size and length plus is a solid athlete with a high skill level inside… has the tools to be at least a decent and maybe even a pretty good center in the league

I think Mudiay is going to drop on a lot of boards because he is going to get no development in the CBA and if anything will pick up bad habits playing with and against so many below College/NBA calibre players.

    Top 10
1.Jahlil Okafor- Skilled big man with array of post moves. He’s like a 6’11 version of Jared Sullinger with his soft touch and great footwork to score in many different ways near the basket. Uses long arms and big body (270 pounds) to rebound and block shot. See a future 20 and 10 Center. Comparison: Demarcus Cousins/ Jared Sullinger

2.Cliff Alexander- A man amongst boys at the highschool level. Around 6’8 or 6’9 with 250 pounds of solid muscle and long arms with a wingspan of 7’3 and dunks everything. Mobile big that dominates the boards and great at cutting to the basket for dunk after dunk. Explosiveness reminds me of young Amare back in Phoenix. Good looking form and skills around basket. Should be great for the pick n role game that is taking over the NBA. Comparison: Amare Stoudemire/ Kenneth Faried

3.Emmanuel Mudaiy- Big athletic PG with good court vision. 6’5 can do everything in the court in mold of Russell Westbrook but not as explosive. Great handle, great passer, great finisher, and a developing jump shot. Who knows how much playing in China will effect his stock, but the less exposure and lack of competition will make Mudaiy a risky pick. Comparison: Penny Hardaway/ Tyreke Evans

4.Karl Towns- One of my favorite prospects. 7 footer can score inside and out. Great IQ and feel for the game. He’s like a Tim Duncan with 3 point range. Can do just about everything post moves, hits 3s, rebounds, can pass and block shots. Could even be higher if he didn’t have to share time with all of the other Kentucky big men. Comparison: Duncan/ Marc Gasol

5.Stanley Johnson- Competitor and leader that wins. Great defender, with good IQ. Decent shot, nice handles, and good passer.Combo wings, but I like him as more of SG. Comparison: Andre Iguadala/ Jimmy Butler

6.Myles Turner- 7 footer with long arms that has some guard skills and a pretty good shot. Think he comes in as a stretch 4 then eventually add weight and muscle improving his defensive ability and moving him to center Comparison:Lamarcus Aldridge/ Channing Fry

7.Kelly Oubre- Ultra athletic SF with a good looking stroke is always makes a player very intriguing in terms of potential. Has star potential, but also potential to be nothing. Comparison: Rudy Gay

8.Caris Levert- Nice all around SG. Gets after it on D with his quickness and lank at 6’6. Good ball handling and shot, expect him to take on a big role at Michigan. Comparison: Jordan Crawford/Dion Waiters but with more defense

9.Chris Walker- Explosive athlete catches oops and blocks shots can play the 4 or 5. Will be a defensive specialist in NBA. Comparison: Deandre Jordan

10.Mario Hazenja- Usually at least one international players cracks the top 10 every year. This year I think it’s Mario. Good athlete and height at SG position and scoring and passing skills. Comparison: Marco Belineli/ Evan Fournier

    Next in line

Montrezle Harrell: Great defensive big, but a bit shirt for the an NBA big

Theo Penson: Length with a developing jumper

Tyler Ulis: Eventually will win the staring PG position at Kentucky and lead them far in the tourney.

Let’s bump this up now that the draft has passed.

    I got 7 points.

Okafor got me 3 points, 2 for WCS, and 2 for Winslow.

I missed pretty big on the Kansas guys. How did everyone else do?
