Andrew1984ParticipantThe Brooklyn Nets have managed to put together one of the worst rosters since…well, I guess you’d have to go all the way back to Philadelphia’s 2015-2016 roster to find such a drastic absence of experience, skill, and talent!
Seriously, the Nets’ only acquisition was Jeremy Lin, a marginal starter at best. They will field a "Big Two" of Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez. But such is the way to the top in the NBA. I predict that they will be horendous, get the top pick, and that Harry Giles will be the unanimous choice. His combination of size and explosiveness, when he gets healthy, will turn heads. Josh Jackson and Dennis Smith Jr. will be tempting, but Giles represents the rarest opportunity.

EndlessknightParticipantUmm, doesn’t Boston have swap rights to that pick?

For_Never_EverParticipantBoston owns or can swap picks with the Nets for next two or three seasons. So it’s Celtics picks.

Bankroll PJParticipantBoston has the right to swap picks with the Nets this year, and I believe they own the Nets pick the following year, so the high draft picks won’t be playing in Brooklyn. So Harry Giles and DeAndre Ayton in back to back years is very possible for the Celtics, because the Nets are guaranteed to be one of the worst 5 teams in the league for at least the next years.

properbreaksParticipantMan, the fact that Boston KEEPS getting Brooklyn’s picks is almost criminal. At least Philadelphia fans could look forward to and dream about the draft. Nets fans have to deal with being terrible during the season with no draft picks in the first round.
I guess the NETS WENT FOR IT ALL with their trades and thought they would have 3 championships by now or 3 championship appearances and it would be all worth it even if they have no picks for a good 3 or 4 years. Man, were they wrong. lol
Someone please…… confirm how many more years do the Celtics have the NETS pick? ARe we going to see a solid playoff team year after year make the playoffs and get better, while also looking forward to another top 5 pick for a few more years. Yikes….

tommsalmondParticipantIt’s a pick swap in 2017 and in 2018 the Celtics get Brooklyns pick. There’s almost no conceivable way for Brooklyn to get better either, given the lack of assets to trade or any attractiveness to free agents (look at how Williams left) so it’s likely going to be three top 5 picks.
Billy Kings transaction history at the Nets is just hilarious.
