Bulldogs fans had to be very happy with the way they finished last season and making the NIT..They have a terrific set of guards in Gaines and Mann..They’re going to finish higher than 7th….

Cant wait to see how Hill and Walker perform for the Gators..

Micheal Qualls of Arkansas is 1 of the most entertaining players in the nation to watch play…

    • Kentucky: Really think that Tyler Ulis is going to be playing a bigger role than Devin Booker as a freshman. While Booker might be a nice wing complement to the Harrison’s, it probably would not kill them to have a "true" PG running the show. Expect him to run along the Harrison’s often. Also, while I agree that Dakari Johnson may get more minutes, Trey Lyles is really good. Think he will definitely have an opportunity to be the 7th man.
    • Florida: Devin Robinson is a toothpick, albeit a good toothpick. To me, Dorian Finney-Smith was much more of a stretch 4 than a 3 last season, so switch those guys around at least with their role. Guy who could possibly crack the starting line-up or should be a 6th or 7th man: Alex Murphy, Erik’s brother, transfer from Duke.
    • Arkansas: Rashad Madden is more of a PG than Anthlon Bell, expect Anton Beard and Jabril Durham to be up for a possible starting spot there.
    • LSU: Believe Elbert Robinson is absolutely the most valuable substitute on that team, if he doesn’t start. Has lost a lot of weight and can ball, monster 7-footer with a crazy wingspan. Darcy Malone is well behind Robinson, do not think it is close
    • Alabama: Retin Obasohan broke his ankle in the off-season, not sure when he is coming back. Think Tarrant might get the starting nod even so. Justin Coleman is also a sparkplug as a freshman, along with Riley Norris.
    • Tennessee: Word out of Tennessee is that JUCO transfer Kevin Punter is set to play PG. He was 1st Team All-NJCAA, a 6’4" guard from New York who can do some work off of the dribble. Donnie Tyndall said the starting line-up would be Willie Carmichael, Armani Moore, Devon Baulkman, Josh Richardson and Punter, with Hubbs and Chiles likely being the first two off the bench (Read the starting 5 from a Scout.com report). Will be really small, try to beat people with speed. Detrick Mostella will probably fight for minutes as well, plus Jabari McGhee might be more ready than Owens right now, he is really slight. Tyndall has given mixed messages as to whether Dominic Woodson will play this year, even though he is eligible. If he gets to the weight Tyndall wants him, huge for their front court in a couple ways.
    • Georgia: Mann more of a point the Gaines for sure. Think you are good otherwise, well done.
    • Missouri: Cameron Biedscheid left the school last week, think that Teki Gill-Caesar could fill in that spot. Thinking Shamburger actually might start over Wes Clark, though they will probably play together at times. Namon Wright should get some decent PT as well.
    • Texas A&M: No word on Danuel House’s waiver yet. Alex Robinson is a key recruit, going to be a 6th or 7th man. The sleeper is Tonny Trocha-Morelos, the Colombian big man who can move pretty well. I like your top 7, though think Jordan Green may be out and take a diminished role if House is indeed eligible.
    • Mississippi St.: Not bad, though all 5 starters from last year are back. Zuppardo seems like a nice get, though he might come off the bench to begin with. Demetrius Houston was a really nice recruiting get and Fallou Ndoye is a redshirt freshman who could get some burn down the line.
    • South Carolina: Think it is Notice and Tyrone Johnson in the backcourt, Thornwell on the wing and Michael Carrera may only be listed at 6’5, but he has a monster wingspan and basically plays PF. Chatkevicius may start, though Kacinas probably still plays more, will likely go small pretty often. Demeterius Henry could possibly get the starting call as well, gained some needed weight. Hearing freshman Marcus Stroman should be in the mix for minutes as well.
    • Auburn: This team will be super small, Cinmeon Bowers will probably play a lot of C, Matt Atewe is battling injury. Would put Malcolm Canada in the mix as a returnee, they will play a lot of 4 guard sets. As much as I like Pearl, his first year could be pretty damn tough, before getting some much needed help coming in next season.
    • Ole Miss: Stefan Moody was a really cool get for them, think this team is brutally underrated. Yes, they lost Marshall, but Moody is a crazy athlete, check out his profile on the site. Had a decent freshman year at Florida Atlantic before going JUCO and committing to Ole Miss. Thinking they start Moody, Summers, White, Jones and Saiz (probably more of the C here, gained some bulk, crazy long arms) with Smith being first guy off the bench. Newby seems to be the odd man out. Criminally underrated, they should not miss Marshall Henderson too much.
    • Vanderbilt: Dai-Jon Parker left the program, put Shelton in as the starting PG. Josh Henderson tore his ACL last season, likely will be coming off the bench with the Commodores starting Damian Jones at C and Siakam at PF. Seems like Shelton Mitchell is an absolute at the 1, with Wade Baldwin and Matt Fisher-Davis both being possible starters. Fisher-Davis is a skinny wing, Baldwin is built like a tank and was HS teammates with Karl Towns. Riley LaChance also has been getting some buzz, though will probably take time. Think you have to choose them as the bottom of the conference, so little experience and not a lot of bodies. Stallings took responsibility for the losses that have left them this way, big time rebuilding mode.

Just some questions, comments for your top 15 (or 25) SEC prospects:

    • Why Jarrell Martin over Bobby Portis? Portis has more length on his side and that sweet mid-range shot. Am not as anti-Martin as Aran, but I think he is much too high on that list.
    • I like Damian Jones and appreciate you taking a flier on him. Still think he is too high, especially over….
    • Could just be me, but I think Trey Lyles should be much higher than 9. I like him as a pro prospect more than anyone on UK outside of Towns and MAYBE Marcus Lee (not big on Willie Cauley-Stein, though I do see the upside there)
    • I was not blown away by Finney-Smith as a pro prospect, honestly. Like Thornwell much more, think that the UK thing is probably a reason for so many players being ahead of him, though think that while those guys may be pros, they are not necessarily better pros than a guy like Thornwell. In my mind, Devin Robinson will turn out to be a much better NBA prospect than Finney-Smith, as an actual wing.
    • Qualls is SO damn athletic. Plus has a crazy long wingspan. His being behind the other guys ahead of him in the 20’s does not make much sense to me. As tough as Ulis is, he is so damn small. Thinking he is an awesome guy and has a chance at the NBA, though not sure I see him as a better prospect than Qualls. Than you have raw, late bloomer Maten, Cinmeon Bowers at damn near 280 (Plus, am guessing people still have questions about Chipola) and 5’9" Tahj Shamsid-Deen? Why so low on Qualls? Would have him top 15 as far as SEC prospects for this years draft, or at least damn close.
    • Unless Deuce Bello has improved incredibly so, would think maybe a guy like Michael Frazier II (not III), Alex Caruso or Josh Richardson might be better for that spot. If Robert Hubbs were healthy he might be on there, or even Josh Gray or Elbert Robinson might be worth a gamble.

Appreciate the time you put into these lists, though I would be all for doing a bit more research. Make sure too type in the schools and get some news. Know you are doing this for fun and it is not your job, just giving some pointers, from my seemingly endless pursuit to know what is going on in college basketball and amongst draft prospects.
