no1ParticipantI predict it will be Sherron Collins he is the best player on the best team in CBB…. I also think despite his lack of size he will be a lottery pick to.

Knicksboy34ParticipantMy pick is……Craig Brackins. He has the ability to average 24ppg and 8rpg. I dont know if his team will be super successful though

From_Downtown_33ParticipantI think Cole Aldrich will be the POY…i think he is actually the best player on Kansas, which is the best team in the country.

jojososaParticipantCould c cole aldrich winning it, he has vastly improved each year

Tha King2121ParticipantCollins isnt as good as Cole Aldrich
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 4:25pm #197163

butidonthavemoneyI definatly see Aldrich as the POY. Evan Turner and Luke Harangody are sleepers.
As for freshmen I would say that Derrick Favors has the best shot at POY.

McWinningParticipantmy pick is Aminu with Teague, and Johnson leaving he will put up huge numbers.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 4:30pm #197168

R-Dot-13ParticipantI could definetly see Harangody be POY with a successful season from Notre Dame
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 4:30pm #197169

R-Dot-13ParticipantSleeper: Greivis Vasquez
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 4:31pm #197170

butidonthavemoneyGood call I forgot about Vasquez.

rickybobbyParticipantEd Davis can and should put up Hansbrough like numbers this year at Carolina. 20.5ppg 12.4rbs 3.1blks.

JordanC20ParticipantJohn Wall…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 5:21pm #197178
bluedevils12Participanthell no. and as much as i like sylven he isnt really mainstream enough to get the award. If it comes down to him and sumbody with more exposure like sherron or cole sylven wont win it
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 5:31pm #197182
JordanC20ParticipantYou must not even know who John Wall is.

SDEParticipantJohn Wall
0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/06/2009 - 7:49pm #197282
jeff416ParticipantMy top 3 would be
1)Willie Warren-now that Griffin is gone I expect Warren to put up huge numbers and his team should have a pretty good record.
2)Luke Haranody-He will have the numbers but I dont know if his team will be good enough
3)Derrick Favors-Should have great numbers and a pretty good team but I will have to see him play in college before I put him any higher
Sleeper Elliot Williams-Most people are probably surprised I put him here but Memphis should have a good record with there easy schedule and I expect him to be the go to guy and put up great numbers.I would go with one of Kansas players but they play on a loaded team so I dont think they will have the numbers same with Wall.

no1Participantdoesnt E Williams have to sit out a yr cause hes transferring?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/07/2009 - 6:39am #197360
jeff416ParticipantNo he doesnt have to sit out a year for trasferring because his mom is real sick and he wanted to be closer to home.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/07/2009 - 6:44am #197361
xbadgerhustlerParticipantI like the Vasquez pick… Also Aldrich is a safe pick… Harangody’s squad can never get through the big east with a good enough record to be considered (generally)
What about Kalin Lucas? I think he has a very good shot.

bluedevils12Participantyes dumba$$ i do kno who jon wall is. B*tch i kno more about basketball than u do. dont dam question me

MagikKnickParticipantlmao, your mature..
0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/07/2009 - 2:13pm #197519

butidonthavemoneyMaybe you would enlighten us on why you feel that John Wall has no chance of being the POY.
I think he has a shot. The fact that he plays for one of the top 3 teams (most likely) helps his chances. He will be asked to start and could play up to 30-35 minutes a game. His numbers will be good across the board. Points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals.
I just think the Aldrich or Turner are more likely to win, as the have the experience to go along with the team wins and numbers.
I could see John Wall’s numbers looking something like.
18 pts, 6 rbs, 6 ast, 2.5 stls, 1.5 blks.

QHaynes2018 pts, 6 rbs, 6 ast, 2.5 stls, 1.5 blks……name the last freshman to do that please
0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/07/2009 - 5:45pm #197655
jeff416ParticipantI think your expecting to much from Wall I think he will have numbers similar to Rose in college.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/07/2009 - 7:55pm #197713
xbadgerhustlerParticipantbutidont, you’re OUT OF YOUR MIND! lol 30-35 minutes is overboard, and nobody puts up those kinds of numbers in college… the game is 1/6 shorter than an NBA game… 18 ppg + 6 apg is phenomenal in college, and then you wanna tack on 6 rpg too! no way.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/07/2009 - 10:31pm #197722

butidonthavemoneyLet me rephrase that.
It would take 18 pts, 6 rbs, 6 ast, 2.5 stls, 1.5 blks for John Wall to win POY. I could see him putting up these numbers.
Rose played 30 minutes and was a 15, 5 and 5 player, as a freshman QHaynes. Dwayne Wade was an 18, 6, 4, 2.5 and 1 player his freshman year. Not common but lets face it John Wall is not a common player.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/08/2009 - 2:23am #197728
xbadgerhustlerParticipantIf I’m not mistaken, the common thread between those two guys is that they both played in Conference USA! (I’m pretty sure Marquette was still C-USA back then… although the conference was a lot stronger back then, it still had some pretty weak squads.)
John Wall is going to the SEC my man! DWade also WAS his team. John Wall is going to be playing on a STACKED squad. I hope you prove us all wrong though butidont

JNixonParticipantButidonthavemoney, you prediction was pretty close for Wall LOL…nice
0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/31/2010 - 3:33pm #273770

UKWildcat_11ParticipantYeah Aldrich has a better chance than Wall…Wall has no chance to win PoY…lol. Yeah good predictions butidonthavemoney
