There is definitely a few Potential Stars in the 2010 Draft. How many do you think can or will be? and who?

    IMO

John Wall- we already know the potential in the world is there.

Derrick Favors- super athletic big man who is a combo forward as of now, if he can expand his range and perimeter skills can be a terriffic pro at SF, He is a bit undersized at the PF in the NBA , but his athleticism would make up for it he would have to work on his footwork and post skills as well as get stronger if he plans to be a PF at the next next level.

Paul George- some people think he is all hype and that may be true, but from what Ive seen from him is is very quick and super explosive and he has a pretty jumper and some smoothe handle, he has all the tools just needs to have the right mentality

Donatas Motiejunas- this guy is just too versatile not to be a potential star. he can do everything from handle like a wing player to post up like a big man with a array of moves down-low. he has NBA 3-pt range and very ice mechanics, I think if he keeps on expanding his game he can be a matchup nightmare at any level , he could possibly play positions 3-5 in the NBA.

Agree? Disagree? Do you see any others?

Definetley agree with Wall and Favors. I havent seen much of Donatas Motiejunas, but I’ve heard he is pretty legit. And I think Paul George is a stud who has a lot of potential, but i would like to see develop a bit more. And as for Davis, I understand why people like him so much, but I’m just not that impressed. He is a big, long and athletic player, but I havent seen a lot of skill. If he plays really well this year then i’ll jump on the bandwagon haha, but anything less than ACC Player of the year consideration I’ll be diasspointed.

ps. I think Henson who is gonna be a fresham at UNC has more potenial than Davis

John Wall and Derrick Favors are players Im very confident in saying will be all-star/superstar players in the NBA in the 2010 class.

He has alot of talent, he very skilled but until he polishes his skills a little more and gets stronger and more physical he is a 2011 draft prospect. He is a good prospect though, very talented.

To be honest I liked Willie Warren when I first saw him in the McDonalds All American game, not because he dropped 20 but because he looked cool…so my opinion on him doesn’t matter ahha.

Both John Henson and Ed Davis are going to be lottery picks in the draft if they both decide to come out. Henson is a player that can play the post or out on the wing because of his skills and his great athletic ability. Davis to me can become a very good post player. For some reason he makes me think of Tim Duncan. Hes not as skilled as Duncan but if he continue to work on he can become. With constant work on his post game Davis can become a more athletic Duncan.

Wing player? he can be but he needs to work on his perimeter skills and ball handling , his jumper looks pretty good, but he should work on that too

He actually is a good ball handler, and he has a sound 1st step. He isnt a long range shooter, but he has a good (but raw) mid-range game. He going to be good, I like him alot more than Ed Davis.

he does Iggy, but the 3 postion in the NBA is no Joke , Lebron, Durant, Melo, Granger ect. . Those guys perimeter skills as on now are far ahead of Hensons thet’s why he needs to continue to develop in all the aspects of being a wing player

But that don’t matter if he plays the 3 in the NBA , unless he can shoot over people . he should be able to in the NBA, but his jumper needs work, that’s why I said he needs to keep working on his perimeter skills

Yea thats why I said he would be best served coming into the L in 2011, so he can get stronger and develop his skill set a little more.

His jumper doesnt need work, it looks good to me.

I would not be shocked if a Team looks at Henson with the 1st pick. His upside is downright nasty. I feel, he has the highest potential and He should be a 1 and done guy because I see him starting for UNC this year

His 3 point jumper is not on an NBA level, lets be serious. He has NBA-level mid range tools, but his 3 point game isnt on an NBA level.

His jumper definitely needs work 100%, his form is not that great, very streaky, needs to extend his range alot.
!st pick in 2011 maybe MAYBE

1 thing , lets hold off with the jumper for 1 sec.
he needs to develop his whole game outside on the perimeter. His jumper is decent at best in the NBA and not close to the avg. SF’s jumper in the NBA. He needs to work on creating his shot off on the perimeter, ball handling, extending his range, everything

There’s always a chance, and its not about where he would go to me, its about how good he would be by leaving for 2010 or 2011. If he left in 2010, it would delay his development and make him a Brandan Wright type player. But if he left in 2011 he would be a much better player and prospect.

He can be a SF and a PF. I think he can work on O while be a PF and extend his range. Plus your forgetting he played SG in HS a couple years ago

Evan Turner from OSU – the guy is a sleeper.
plus he went to school for three years and he has a good iq for the game to lead a team at the 2 guard spot

wooow finally someone remember him, I think he is most underrated prospect in this forum, he is #3 in DX and #6 in espn, if he can get 20ppg and let’s say 4apg this season with his strong body, athleticism and crazy handles he can go very high…

talking about stars, some people predict that this class could become special…i think:
Superstars- John Wall & Derrick Favors
    All-Stars- Motiejunas, Monroe, Davis(maybe), Warren(maybe)
Strange Superstars potential: Henry and Sidney..Xavier was #1 player in HS before McDonald’s, and everyone knows that Sidney have at least top5 talent, but they not even in the lottery
