The Raptors are now 8-2 since trading Rudy Gay.

I just watched the game vs Indiana. They competed all 48 minutes. Terrence Ross was an absolute pest for Paul George, who only shot 35% from the field. Derozan’s mid-range has been impressive and Kyle Lowry was a bulldog on both ends. I see that the Raptors have an easier time moving the rock and setting plays since Rudy’s departure and it has spread the floor since Ross being instered into the starting lineup. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took the Atlantic Division title this season.

I can’t actually say anything because I don’t watch many of their games so my opinion isn’t valid lol. But they did exactly what the Kings did, addition by subtraction. The ball is getting spread around a little bit more. Even though it looks like Demar Derozan takes 20 shots a night instead, but atleast one Rudy is better than two Rudy’s right? Lol I’m actually happy for them, this was a quick turnaround. They are now .500, and this isn’t tanking anymore. To me it looks more like they will be doing competitive losing (even though they are winning). Good to see them get a big win.

Don’t you mean "exactly what the Grizzlies did"?

Because they traded players that weren’t contributing much that were in the rotation. So they shipped them out for Gay, who is contributing in Sacramento, but wasn’t contributing in Toronto.

Raptors are playing solid and more of a team game. I am loving the new Raptors and I hope this can build on the bright future that they have right now. Rudy Gay was a black hole on the team and the addition of Vasquez, Patterson, Salmons and Hayes has been very important for us because they add depth and unselfish basketball.

Got to .500, I hope they move above that soon so ppl can stop whining about how awful the East is since we all know already.

Thankfully they kept Lowry and Derozan is getting it done, saw them beat the Knicks twice they looked good even if Melo, Felton, Prigioni didn’t play.

Lowry is playing amazing basketball. I think he’s an all star. Derozan is still inconsistant and his shot selection is still terrible at times but he’s improving. Ross looks like a future 18-20 ppg scorer and JV could be a star. They’re playing amazing defense as well and playing as a team. Love the way my Raptors look right now.

What a great name for a topic. Haha. The Raps had too many wings that needed the ball…Terrence Ross is the real deal. But lets not get ahead of ourselves here. This is still a team with MANY holes.

Getting rid of Bargs and Gay makes Masai GM of the year. Nets will have to seriously turn things around or the Raptors will win the division going away. That means home court in first round and they might even be the favorite since they won’t be playing Heat or Indiana. Imagine getting to the second round. When was the last time the Raptors did that? And to do it with a young team would be an accomplishment.

As long as they are winning, they should just role with this team. Yes Lowry might walk in free agency. But I think PG is one of the easiest positions to fill since there seems to be so many good ones out there. They might resign Lowry. Or maybe they make a run at Lance Stephenson.
