Hi its BenParticipantWhat kind of numbers do you guys think Rondo will put up after the Big 3 retire or what-not? And how about Jeff Green too?
I’m bored in my math lecture right now and felt like talking some bball haha

BasterdInABasketParticipant16 & 10 maybe. If Green and Rondo were their best players they would be in big trouble but obviously there would be money to be spent with the big three gone. Without a jump shot Rondo isnt more than a 3rd scorer which is fine since he is a pure pg.

Hi its BenParticipantWell I think for a few seasons after the Big 3 retire they will be. That’s why I was curious. They need to sign some people once that does happen so there isn’t a huge dropoff. It’ll be tough though..

BasketBalAllanParticipantI really hope the Celtics are intelligent enough to realize that if this next season does not work out they need to start moving some of their vets for younger talent if they want to stay relevant. If this happens, I think Rondo will continue his role and stat line he is perfectly suited as a great distributing PG.

Bmore_DCParticipantbostons in a tough spot…on one hand it would prob be smart to let some, if not all, those guys walk if they dont win this year…but on the other hand they do owe it to their fans and the city to keep them around as long as they wanna be there…look at my Spurs…

Scottoant93ParticipantI see rondo’s number going down, not saying hes overated but close to it, has no jumpshot, good rebounder, only racking up assists because he has the big 3, I’ll go with 18pts(since he most likey be number 1 o2 option) and about 7 assists at most unless he gets another big star there

iguapops420ParticipantI disagree about the assists. He’s a great passer. Top 3 in the game right now. The ball will remain in his hands enough that he will still get his 10 apg. If they decide to wait a bit, Rajon will ultimately be 1st or 2nd option where his scoring role will increase. I see some TERRIFIC numbers. 18,6,10. Rememer, this is the guy who averaged a 3×2 in the playoffs a few years ago as 2nd option.
If the C’s are smart though, they’ll move the pieces needed and get players back. Jeff Green,Rondo, Big Baby and a couple picks for CP3 and Okafor. Assuming this could work I’d try and make it a 3 way sending Emeka to ATL for J-Smoove. A big to replace Perkins would probably be the easiest.
Sign a guy like Courtney Lee to replace Allen and you’re right back where you started …winning.
