This trade would enable Blake to play without Randolph breathing down his neck. Josh can play the 3 and would give the Clips one of the most athletic and talented front courts in the league then. ATL would have a nice tandem down low with Randolph and Horford. What do you guys think?

horrible deal for the clippers IMO.

Al Thorton is going to be a stud in the league, don’t break up him and Gordon

I dont think so…I agree on the Trade. It would help. But I think Atlanta would only trade Smith for picks.

A good Clipper Trade would be

    Randolph for McGrady

    a good T-Wolves Trade

Smith and Claxton to Detroit for Prince, 15th pick and a 2nd rounder

great trade for the clips imo. smith is already better than thornton’s max probably and is not done growing as a player yet. also, it would get rid of a cancer and help us become a running team.

they need a inside presence…that LA series they were getting punished inside.

Rockets have Scola, Yao, Landry, and Hayes. No more Mutombo so we’re going to go for a big man free agent, but Randolph is a four, we have 3 fours. We were punished against L.A because no Yao and Mutombo and even then Landry had a huge game and Scola made their big men look like fools using his smooth footwork and fancy moves. We need a BACKUP Center and a 2 unless the old McGrady comes back.

I like Scola and Landry but not that much…you need a legit 4 next to Yao.

Add Randolph to give Yao a 20-10 guy next to him.

Artest and (resigned) Von Wafer could do well

    Aaron Brooks could breakout…

Add another SG and this team looks good.

    Adleman can tame Randolph.

chuck hayes abused bynum in that series after yao went out. they need a center not a pf they have too many of those. we cant survive long with yao ” i break my foot every postseason” ming and dikembe “the oldest man in the league” mutombo. they should resign wafer thou he was good off the bench.

are undersized, but both having 3 legit pf is not a problem and Yao’s size makes up for it along with our SF in Shane or if resigned Artest since both are great defenders.
I wouldn’t put Artest and Randolph on the same team even though Randolph may not be a bad dude.
Our team already looks good with what we got and until injuries took their toll again we had a shot against L.A.
Our two headed PG works great with Brooks and Lowry. Our 2 spot is nice with Wafer coming off the bench and either McGrady or Ron starting. I don’t see any way we can improve unless we get someone who has a healthy career is traded for McGrady and he’s just as good. Yes, I am a HUGE Rockets Fan. I watch this team night in and night out and the only problem that will hold us back is injuries. Sadly…as Rockets Fans we always believe next year is our year unless health beats us and for 3 or 4 years our health has…last year was the hardest year for me as a Rockets Fan. Being so close…

I agree with you rubio. if we could ever get healthy we would challenge for the top spot in the west. tmac needs to stay. he is the only one on that team that can create his own offense from anywhere on the court. i love scola inside and battier on the wing. brooks is going to be special too. hopefully they can resign ron as well. i think if they trade tmac on draft night it will be a big mistake. they should focus on resigning ron and getting everyone healthy and see what this team can really do.

the best move might be for them to offer the midlevel for gortat. hes a really solid backup and he can run the floor and fits well with what houston does

Im telling you trust me on this one, you guys are a season-team. I mean, every year you guys get hurt and cannot win a title.

In 2010, you may have to overpay for a player…..to fix this team.

Also, you know your gonna overpay for Artest right?

Front office wont because they already have the same type of player in Battier. Artest brings more offense thats about it. Giving the midlevel to Gortat is where we will overpay. Hes good but not worth 5.6 mil a year good. The team is not broken. They lack a big man to back up Yao. That’s it.

I like the trade and I think it satisfies both sides.

Thornton is a good player but that’s really what he’s going to be in his career……a good player. I just don’t see him being anything more than that. Clippers get a potential allstar in Smith to pair with Griffin and Gordon. It’s too good a deal to pass up.

if the whole team stays healthy and they resign artest yes. rockets are one of the few teams in the nba that leave everything on the court night in and night out. their toughness makes up for their lack of size

Rockets would never trade McGrady for Randolph.
