inbedwithyomamaParticipantThe reason I came up with this is because 1) I’ve been hearing for a while that the Thunder have been trying to cut cost because of Harden and Ibaka and their upcoming contract extensions, and 2) The Pistons, as I well know, are looking for a shotblocking big man to compliment Greg Monroe inside. So anyways, here’s an idea:
Oklahoma City gets= pick #9
Detroit gets= Serge Ibaka
Sorry if I get slammed for this but I don’t see why it can’t at least be thought about. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Tdvols123ParticipantOKC would and should demand much more for Ibaka. He’s an elite athlete, shot-blocking big man that can guard the 4 and 5 as well as knock down the outside jumper. I can’t really see any trade between these two going down. Pistons pick is too low and don’t have much that OKC would want that wouldn’t disrupt their own core.

WolfRobParticipantnope.
Ibaka won’t be in a Piston jersey… <<< Only thought.

HotSnotParticipantIf the thunder are forced to choose between Ibaka and Harden in a trade… its going to be Harden that gets shown the door, unfortunately. Ibaka is just too rare. As much as I can’t see the Thunder trading Harden, if they are really concerned about being tax payers but want to play it safe, they will trade up to #2 to grab Beal. The Thunder will then get 4 years out of Beal on a rookie contract while Cha pays Harden his big money. This is exactly the type of premptive move the Thunder and Spurs are known for. Extending the championship window in a fiscally responsible way while maintaining an infusion of youth… even though the thunder are already very young.
