The Splash DocParticipantThey may offer him in some trade proposals they wont get much back since he may never be the same
what type of deals could you see going down and what type of role would you put Roy in.
1 trade scenario is
Trailblazers get- Kirk Hinrich and a 1st rounder
Wizards get- Brandon Roy
Portland- Hinrich is a great combo guard who they really wanted a couple years ago and they start Matthews. Hinrich or Fernandez at the 2 with Miller or Hinrich at the 1 and build around Aldridge. They dont have much options since Oden will not be back in a Blazers uniform and Roy’s knees are damn near useless.
Washington- Arenas-Roy-Wall would it work? 2 of them are very unselfish and they could rotate at the Guard spots together and sometimes play together out there.
Another is
Trailblazers get- Vince Carter-Marcin Gortat and a 1st rounder
Magic get- Brandon Roy
Portland- they get Carter who has an expiring deal and Gortat a true Center to put behind Aldridge. The extra 1st rounder will be valuable as Portland drafts very well. also the CAP relief is great
Orlando- Roy will fit well behind D12 he can go 1-3 and wont be asked to much of since Nelson handles the ball he’ll be needed mostly in the 4th quarter which could keep him limited putting less wear and tear on his knees.

magmo68Participant…No team is going to trade for Roy…period…he will probably be medically retired in a year or two

ilike.panochasParticipantEven if Portland gives Brandon Roy away for free, no team is willing to take his 6yrs $89mil contract with all of his uncertainty.

the I in winParticipantI obviously have missed something about Roy. What happened to his knee and why so doom and gloom on his future?

GrandmamaParticipanttrade Roy when his value is at an absolute low, sure that makes sense……
