Johnny ChillBig men always have a longer career than guards and SFs. So for Nash to not even be on that list is amazing, plus he is playing at a high level. Grant Hill is still playing well, especially on defense, but minor injuries are starting to take its toll on him. I’m really rooting for the Suns to make the playoffs this season. Grant has another season in him.

phila9012ParticipantThe custodian and white mamba can play till they are fifty. The White Mamba brings a lot of scoring power to the bench. He is clutch, and he is the ultimate teammate and glue guy. The fans love him, even in europe they loved him. When the white mamba retires it will be a sad day. So let him take his time, he has earned it.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantDuncan,Garnett,Nash,Ray Allen,Grant Hill & Camby seems like they can play and be productive starters for another 2 years..Kidd might not be a starter anymore,he’s been having trouble guarding quicker guards,but he’s learned to use his body to wear them down….Having guys like Kidd & KG voice in the locker room is priceless…..Camby seems like he’s getting bored and might be ready to call it quits…Injuries prevented Camby from appearing in 1 or 2 All Star games…
It would be Great if Duncan,KG,Kidd and Nash,all retire in the same year…Their Hall of Fame Class would be 1 of the best ever, becuz all 4 guys are 1st ballot inductees…Ray Allen will get in on the 2nd ballot..Some say Grant Hill is questionable,but i think he will get in eventually,based on his impact in college,nba and olympics…

HitsterParticipantI’ll throw in Jermaine O’Neal who was recently waived by the Celtics, he is only 33 years old but has had a lot of injuries in recent years and after all the money he made with the Pacers and coming off a decent contract in Boston does he really need to play on if he doesn’t feel he can get back to a decent level.
The top guys may prefer to leave a legacy of get out at the right time look at Kareem and David Robinson both retired after an NBA final brather than a player being a bench guy somewhere or getting traded and not wanting to play for a none contender.
Also if some of the top guys do finish, I can see them getting offfers next spring from teams looking to make a play off run. Some of the names above obviously keep themselves in great shape still to be playing in their late 30’s and maybe having an extra long break could give them that extra spark and thus returning for say 20/30 regular season games and a play off run may be more appealing than another full 82 game season, possible play offs, pre-season etc.
