These are just ideas, they’ll probably never happen. The 2nd one isn’t an idea it has already been discussed.

    1. Pistons trade Tayshaun Prince to Warriors for Andris Biedrins. Both guys are on the trade block and it gives the Pistons a needed center and gives the Warriors a much needed small forward.

    2. Nuggets trade Kenyon Martin to Warriors for Andris Biedrins and Dan Gadzuric. This trade has been discussed but it can’t be done until August 22nd. It gives the Warriors a great starting power forward that is an expiring $16 mil contract and gives the Nuggets a legit starting center that I guess would move Nene to his natural position, the power forward and an expiring $7 mil contract. I guess Golden State would have to throw in a draft pick or two also.

    3. Bobcats trade Boris Diaw to Warriors for Andris Biedrins and future 1st round draft pick. It gives the Bobcats a much needed center and a first round draft pick and gives the Warriors either a starting small forward or power forward.

#1, the Pistons would be crazy to do that. They already have a bloated cap situation even though they don’t have a good team. They already have awful contracts in Ben Gordon, Charlie V, Jason Maxiel, and Rip Hamilton. You think they want to take on Biedrins 4 years/36 million? Especially after his play dipped big time last year. You do realize though that Prince is an expiring and worth way more than Biedrins not to mention he’s a better player. If anything maybe Charlie Villanueva for Biedrins.

#2, Denver is heavy in the luxury tax and would rather let Kmart expire than take on an additonal 4 years on Biedrins contract. Add to that Melo hasn’t even committed to them yet. This wouldn’t be a horrible trade though, although the lane would get clogged with Biedrins and Nene together.

#3, This is the one sensible trade that makes sense, 2 bad contracts. Although after committing a butt load of money to Tyrus Thomas would they be willing to add on an extra 2 years over Diaw’s contract.

I think Biedrins is extremely hard to move if you aren’t offering an equally long contract in return. He has 4 years left, 9 mil a year and his game really dipped last year and had MAJOR injury issues. I think he’s too much of a risk, when healthy he’s a good rebounder but he brings nothing on the offensive end.

    1) Pistons have Greg Monroe, they’re not going to be interested in Biedrins. Biedrins = injury risk

    2) Nuggets signed Al Harrington. He’ll play PF if K-mart isn’t in. They have no use for Biedrins with Nene and Birdman

    3) That could work if GS wants to get rid of Biedrins for a shorter contract. I wouldn’t expect Diaw to get playing time though.. they’d probably be more interested in giving it to Brendan Wright and Udoh.

It’s a shame what’s happened with Biedrins. I really hope he gets healthy.

Monroe would be moved to his natural position say they traded Hamilton for Biedrins

    Stuckey – Bynum – White
    Gordon – White – Daye
    Jerebko – Prince – Daye – Summers
    Monroe – Charlie V – Maxiell
    Biedrins – Wallace – Wilcox

I’m not sure though the Warriors even want Rip Hamilton and his horrible contract. They already have the backcourt of Monta and Curry, and they just gave a sizable contract to Dorrell Wright, not to mention Reggie Williams is a great volume scorer who will replace CJ Watson and Anthony Morrow. Not to mention you probably want to give Jeremy Lin some run for the fans. I just wouldn’t want to pay 12.6 mil a year for the next 3 years for a guy who will essentially be a backup a role which he is not accustomed to. At least Biedrins is a starter for Golden State. While similar in style David Lee and Biedrins would be one of the best rebounding tandems in the NBA. It doesn’t help that Lee just injured his finger although it doesn’t seem serious. I just wouldn’t trust giving starter minutes to guys like Brandon Wright and Udoh. Neither has proven anything.
