What’s with the point system anyways? Seems kind of high schoolish, clearly some people will just negative or positive based on what team/player/poster is being discussed. So I dont see it as a measuring stick for basketball knowledge, and it seems pointless that you can give your own posts positive/negative points….I would assume a lot of people don’t give out too many points like myself, kind of just seems like its good for people that are trolling…Maybe im just self conscious and my fragile self worth cant handle always being in the negative 🙁

I agree. I dislike the point system for one reason: We don’t know who takes the points. Also, if all someone does is come on and takes points or make stupid posts- He/She should be banned.

I would think that taking away the negative point would be good for the site. Also if youre out there listening nbadraft.net PLEASE implement a quoting tool in your forums. These threads get pretty jumbled and it is hard to tell who is responding to who. A quote button would vastly improve this forum. Oh and get rid of the ability to give your own post positive points, seems ridiculous, of course the author is going to like their own post.

Another sob story about points….I can’t believe the point system in some forum can rattle people as much as it does. Make some worthy posts and you will receive + points…. Spew some stupidity and you will probably get – points.

For the most part the people with many points on here make more valid arguments and dont post things that no one wants to read. People such as Mr 700 and OJJ have many points because they dont say stupid things. Most people in the negative seem to not post the same quality of threads or posts.

The point system could be improved on but I really don;t think it means much. Everyone knows who really knows who they are talking about and just in life everything is about popularity. If you are popular, you get more points. Some people tend to say all the right things and are more savy about what they post. I tend to post exactly what I feel and dont compromise it which is why I dont have many points compared to my post. Even if you are right about stuff, people are so into being fanboys and feeling like they belong they will hate you if you say something about someone you like.

I have said stuff about people and later on that person agreed with what I said but because of ego, they will never admit I was right.

I do wish they had a quote system and you knew who took your points.

I guess people could still hide behind the internet and have tons of names but still I think needs to be added.
