valentineI believe the best stat for judging value to a game is the humble +-
Here is the leaders after a few games.
1) Matthew Delladova +53
2) Andre Drummond +49
3) Nikola Mirotic +41
4) Dion Waiters +39
5) Anderson Varejao +37
6) Marcus Morris +36
Amazingly, Delly leads the league despite playing only 21mpg. He also leads the NBA in Asst:TO ratio, at 17:1.
If hes available on waiver wires in your fantasy team, its not too late to pick him up.
Could Delly actually be an early leading candidate for 6th man of the year?

NBAjunkie81Participantwins than you have a good + / – rating… That can be b/c of the player or his teammates but if Matthew Delladova is the League Leader it kind of speaks for itself…
Do people realize the basketball WARP stat does Not use the same mathematical values that the original babseball WARP – for which the Metric was created – does… When you change the Values & Ratios of an equation, you have no idea of it’s True value… they changed a win from a 3:1 ratio to a 1:1 ratio in the equation for Basketball… So basically everyone on a winning team has a good WARP & anyone on a bad team has a poor WARP score – the Whole point of the Metric is to ascertain the value of the individual in a team game b/c there could be hidden gem players on a bad team…. When Everyone on a winning team has Plus Values than the equation has at Worst lost it’s usefulness & at best must be used in concert w/ other measurements…
I LUV analytics – please don’t misunderstand me, but like Anything in life Numbers can be manipulated & one must use them as part of an overall analysis that also incorporates what you actual see from an expert scout or coach or GM as well… For example the numbers produced in the stock market are only useful when you have an expert who can extrapolate them from Data to a meaningful game plan…

BleedGreen808ParticipantExactly why I’m not a big fan of using +/- numbers to determine how good a player is when on the floor. It doesn’t necessarily isolate the impact a player has while on the floor. For example when Boston played Philly on Wednesday Evan Turner led the team with a +23. However actually watching the game he did not play very good at all and he finished with 6pts, 4 rebs, 2asts and 3 TOs.
Btw Rip if you’re going to say +/- is the best stat for judging value then you might want to look at who is #2 on your list. Just the other day you said this "As for Drummond…hes just a low IQ player who offers no spacing and bricks fts. And he is a max player. Hes a good rebounder but an overall poor defender. Give me a smart stretch 5 who can hit fts and space the floor anyday". So that either means you’re wrong about Drummond or wrong about how effective +/- is.

high floorParticipantIf you’re going to hype the Aussie’s value up, at least spell his name right. #Dellavedova #Ispellstuffwrongtoo #itsallgood
