Been awhile since I’ve been on here, but figured I should try to keep this going!

Simple concept. Pick who you think is going to win each matchup and in how many games. Get points for predicting the right winner and get more points for predicting the right amount of games (only if your team wins, of course). Points escalate as we go further into the playoffs. Scoring breakdown can be seen here: https://www.nbadraft.net/forums/topic/playoff-pickum-game-2016/

It’s probably the easiest just to follow my format (well, easier for me). So here are my picks for this year:

    EAST:
    First Round:
    BOS (4)
    CLE (5)
    IND (6)
    PHI (6)
    Second Round:
    BOS (5)
    PHI (5)
    Conference Finals:
    BOS (6)

    WEST:
    First Round:
    OKC (6)
    LAC (7)
    PHO (5)
    DEN (6)
    Second Round:
    LAC (6)
    DEN (6)
    Conference Finals:
    DEN (6)

    NBA Finals:
    BOS (6)

I know the playoffs aren’t fully set up yet, but there isn’t a lot of time between the play in games and the first round of the playoffs. Feel free to make updates to your guesses before each series starts.

So lets see what y’all think!

LBJ and KD now following the Melo May vacation guide.

Injuries playing a key role into teams chances – Giannis, Dame, Kawhi not being available or possibly coming back puts series on a knife edge.

Stephen A Smith will cream his pants if the Knicks win a series. Why do ESPN use him, he’s not a former player, a reporter, expert analyst just a Knicks cheerleader!

    Update after first round completion!

    1. Zouldiers with 10 points (only mistake was taking the Lakers, which nobody else did)
    2. sweaterflex with 6 points
    3. r377 with 6 points
    4. dmo21 with 6 points
    5. nbadraft consensus with 4 points
    6. Hitster with 4 points (Clippers going to the finals is going to hurt ya)
    7. NorrinRadd with 3 points (only got 3 first round picks right. In addition, had Orlando and Phoenix winning in the second round as well as Milwaukee going to the finals. Your only chance is OKC winning it all as nobody else had that).

The biggest killer was Philly as everyone had them winning except for Zouldiers. Everybody had Boston and OKC winning their first round matchup.

Lets see what round 2 has in store for us!

    Update after round 2!

    1. Zouldiers with 16 points (only person to have Dallas win in the second round. Also the only person with both their conference finals picks still in it.)
    2. sweaterflex, dmo21 and r377 with 10 points (the ol’ triple tie. All 3 of us have Boston winning it all. dmo21 and r377 have the exact same picks left so we’re stuck until the end.)
    5. Hitster and nbadraft consensus with 8 points (also stuck until the end with the exact same picks left.)
    7. NorrinRadd with 3 points (not getting any higher as your Bucks and Thunder final isn’t going to happen.. But hey, congrats on setting the new all time lowest score in this game with 3! That’s gonna be hard to beat!)

So the only way somebody can take down Zouldiers is if Boston wins it all as they have Dallas winning it all.

Well, shit. Welcome to the Zouldiers show! Being that both Boston and Dallas made it to the finals, Zouldiers has secured his win for this year. Here are the updated standings:

    1. Zouldiers with 22 points
    2. dmo21, sweaterflex and r377 with 13 points
    5. Hitster and nbadraft consensus with 11 points
    7. NorrinRadd still down here with 3 points

Even though Zouldiers doesn’t have Boston winning it all, nobody else has a chance of winning as the max amount of points that can be earned is 8 and Zouldiers has a 9 point lead. But if Boston wins the standings will look a bit better without the rest of us being so far back..

    Dang, I was hoping I could get 3 before you! I won in 2018 & 2023.

30 is a high bar, but the record is actually 34 set in 2017 by kyle.jorundson. He only had one first round pick wrong for the whole playoffs.

Luckily the Celtics won so it doesn’t look like a complete blow out by Zouldiers.

    Final Standings:

    1. Zouldiers with 22 points
    2. Dmo21, sweaterflex and R377 with 17 points
    5. Hitster and nbadraft consensus with 15 points
    7. NorrinRadd with 3 points
