BlueRivers25ParticipantI don’t like the cheap shots, but do think the intensity level is good for the game.

Hype MachineI even like brawls.
Maybe Im bloodthirsty and I realise kids and grandmas are watching etc…
But I’ll be damned if a bench clearing brawl wouldnt increase ratings for the rest of the series by 200% and no way I’d leave my couch. Its kinda like a huge crash in motorsport. Too bad everyone would be suspended.
Fortunately other sports exist where I can get my fix of dudes beating the stuffing out of each other.

Bankroll PJParticipantI agree the chippiness makes the whole game more entertaining and I think the refs have done a respectable job of managing it. The NBA needs more rivalries and more players and teams that don’t like each other.

BiggysmallsParticipantI don’t mind the playoff physicality and chippiness…I’d rather have good games though.
Out of the 8 playoff series, we might have 2 of them go more than 5 games.
Doubt anybody in Cleveland thinks a rivalry is brewing with Detroit. Same goes for OKC and Dallas at this point.
I’m all for physical play, but until these games are between teams that are actually competitive, it’ll all be for nothing.

TheGuyParticipantSome of the guys are super sensative, any time there’s any contact someone has to complain to a ref or say something to another player or the bench. Calm down.
Also I swear after every foul called or a no call a player has to bltch like someone who got their order messed up at a restraunt. Shut up and play.

ExumInfernoParticipantWait, Memphis were in the playoffs with all their crazy cast of players and they didn’t make the list of playoff tomfoolery.
While some things Ron Artest did were just terrible, for most players it shows the playoffs mean something when there is some physical stuff.
Breaking up a dance routine and getting lightly pushed for that, maybe things are different to the games the Bad Boys of Detroit played. Two players are dancing, Mahorn kicks one, Laimbeer clothesline the other, and then Laimbeer says he didn’t touch him. Then Rodman drops an elbow on them.
