Lotto StudParticipant1 player that I really think will skyrocket up the Draft boards after March, will be Cory Joseph. There really isn’t a clear cut #1 PG on the board other then Kyrie Irving which is in question, whether he decides to bolt or not. For some reason a lot of people rate Walker, Fredette, & Knight ahead of Joseph. Joesph is just as talented & has just as much poise to play the position. In the games that I have watched Texas play this year, he does not force anything, he lets the game come to him & always to look to get teammates involved making good passes. Although he does not WOW us in the assist department, he standsout to me with the 43.0% he shoots from the outside. He is the type of player you will have to watch rather then look at the boxscore for his numbers, because he does things that don’t show up on the statsheet. As of right now he is not on a 1st Round radar on mocks, but mark my word after Tourney play he will get mid 1st considerations maybe even lotto if Irving does not come out.
Who is your under the radar player we should look out for to raise their Draft stock come Tourney time?

llperezJosh Smith has been showing great improvement for UCLA and depending on matchups i could see him giving some opponents fits in the tournament similar to the 19 and 8 with 3 blocks on 8-10 shooting he put on st johns who looked unprepared for his size. He could raise his stock significantly for the 2012 draft.

YSUFan10ParticipantI think Lavoy Allen of Temple will be a player that’s stock really rises during the Tournament, and if Duquesne makes it, Damian Saunders and Bill Clark may see their names of some draft boards also. I also believe that Yancy Gates from the bearcats will get some recognition in the tournament too.

jeff416ParticipantHarrison Barnes, Tobias Harris, Corey Joseph, Tristan Thompson, Will Barton, Josh Selby, Brandon Knight, and Josh Smith. I think all of those freshmen could raise there stock a lot in the tournament.

Snubs15ParticipantCory Joseph isnt playing the point for Texas which is another big reason why hes not getting the assist numbers. They play Dogus Balbay for his defensive abilities and he runs point. I agree hes a very efficient player and his jumper is wet. Hes definitely better than the box score shows cause his defense is also good.
In order for a players stock to rise in March Madness their team usually has to go deep in the tourney so if Texas does go far Josephs stock will rise for sure. I wouldve said Hamilton but his stock is already really high.

OhCanada-ParticipantThompsons stock will go higher for sure if Texas makes a run or even wins just a couple games. I think when people see what Fredette can do against top teams his stock will rise, and then again after workouts. Duke always makes runs which makes their players look better, (remember how people were saying Zuobek should go to New ork in the 2d round). Singler could benefit from that and become somewhat of this years Gordon Hayward type selection (from 15-30 to 8-20).

JoeWolf1I agree Rudeboy, Keiff has a definate NBA position. He is a very versitile power forward in the NBA and when you watch him play he puts on a clinic of post and faceup moves every game, but Marcus seems like he’s just stuck between SF and PF to me. The guy can play and he’s insanely efficient and versitile on offense, so I don’t think he’ll bust, but IMO he needs to work on his range( good from college 3, but you can tell he doesn’t have NBA range) and ball handling to really be an effective 3 in the NBA.
