td8118ParticipantTo start
Kirk Hinrich- Could start for over half the teams in this league, just happens to be behind one of the best in the league. Guy plays great D and is a scoring PG. I think he will get moved eventually and would be a great fit in Philly
David Lee-has showed he can be solid at worst and very good option at best. Hes by no means a star but the kind of player that is integral to championship teams
Russell Westbrook- has completely proven IMO he can handle playin the PG in the NBA. OKC made a great draft choice when people were expecting other people to go that early
Trevor Ariza- Will be given too much pressure at Houston to be a primary option but is a great defender and a superb athlete. He went from a horrid shooter to way above average in only one season, that shows you something about his work ethic
Travis Outlaw-Underrated but a very good player, would love to have him on my team

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI really like Hinrick, Lee, and Westbrook. Ariza, IMO, will show some glaring weakensses if T-Mac isnt playing and Outlaw is a great bench player but I dont think he would be as effective in the starting lineup.

JNixonParticipantTrevor Ariza is a player that everyone will be talking about as one of if not the most overpaid players in the NBA in a season or 2. Never been that big on him, he’s just an athletic defender and a good spot-up shooter. 35 million is too much for that, you could get a 2nd round pick for that.

RickyRubio9ParticipantThose are too easy to be sold on…of course.
Hinrich could start on a lot of teams. Ariza is a solid player and starter and David Lee is a double double machine.
Westbrook seems destined to become an All-Star Point Guard.0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/17/2009 - 4:53pm #213317
cprizz15Participanthas westbrook proven he is a complete NBA point guard, the guys good but look at their record last year. i think he has an extremely bright future but you have to do more than 3rd worst in the league.. imo derrick rose is a way more proven pg in the league than westbrook.. he has a year or two to go

RickyRubio9Participanthas potential, loads of it, could end up better then Rose, sure call me crazy. Westbrook will be a Rondo/Kidd type Point Guard, not the best shooter, but does everything thing else and does it well. In time he could improve his shooting too.

McWinningParticipanthes a sick athlete i agree and great defender and he can score better than either of those two, hes not the greatest playmaker but i think he will be an all star.

td8118ParticipantRose is much better but everyone is sold on him

JNixonParticipantYea its not a question to me who’s better. Westbrook is better off the ball, but Rose is the better player overall and a much better PG.

cprizz15Participanti was simply saying in order to call westbrook a proven guard in the league he woulda needed a year like rose had..

McWinningParticipanthis numbers werent that much worse than Rose look it up, and he had the the hidden stat which is that hes a lockdown defender, i think he is the most overlooked player of that class.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIn 37 minutes per game Rose’s stats looked like this:
PPG: 16.8
FG%: .475
REB: 3.91
AST: 6.32
STEAL: 0.81
BLKS: 0.22
TO: 2.49In 32 minutes per game Westbrook’s stats looked like this:
PPG: 15.3
FG%: .398
REB: 4.87
AST: 5/3
STEAL: 1.34
BLKS: 0.2
TO: 3.340 - Posted on: Thu, 09/17/2009 - 8:26pm #213380

the_shamwow_guyParticipantThe reason being is that he is a great player that doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Coaches see it players see it however the media does not. As For Westbrook a PG with those skills and athletism its hard not to his dunks make me go shamWOW!

SpencerIsHawesome2Participantcome on im not sold on trevor ariza being anything special but saying he can be easily replaced by a 2nd rounder is ridiculous.

quincey hodgesof course rose proved it his team was better then okc. if west brook was given the chance to play wit the bulls im pretty sure he would have done better also. why is rose wayyy better then westbrook..just wondering what this is based off of
