I missed out on the thread from a couple weeks ago and want to see what kind of comparisons you guys have after the combine. Here’s some of mine.

    Luca Doncic – Chris Mullin

Jaren Jackson Jr. – Tim Thomas (better 2 way potential)

    Collin Sexton – Isaiah Thomas

    Robert Williams – Antonio Mcdyess

    Miles Bridges – Cedric Ceballos

Wendell Carter Jr. – Nate Thurmond

    Zhaire Smith – Shannon Brown

    Grayson Allen – Rex Chapman

Mikal Bridges – mix of Kerry Kittles/Kendall Gill

Kevin Knox – Robert Horry/Tobias Harris

Donte Divincenzo – Tyler Johnson with a jumper (they’re too physically and athletically similar for me to not make this comparison.)

    Chandler Hutchison – Allen Houston

    Jalen Brunson – Eric Snow

Omari Spelman – Derrick Coleman (older/mid-career version, not the young version)

    Jontay Porter – Brad Miller

    Melvin Frazier – Malachi Richardson

    Dzanan Musa – Kevin Martin

    Troy Brown – Aaron Mckee

    Kenrich Williams – Rick Fox

Bonzi Colson – Bonzi Wells (weird, but accurate imo)

    Aaron Holiday – Robert Pack

    Rawle Alkins – Mitch Richmond

What do you like and dislike about my comparisons? What qualifiers should be added? Any better or different comparisons?

With Sexton, are you going with the Bad Boys Isiah Thomas? If so, I could buy that, that’s one of my comps for him.

Interesting comp for Miles Bridges! I liked Ceballos, did most of his damage right around the basket.  Good hops but wasn’t a freak athlete.

Donte shows me flashes of Jerry West.

At times Ayton/Bamba show glimpses of Wilt/Russell.  If so, this would be one heck of a draft! Baseline of Ewing with some Robert Parish.  David Robinson with some Dikembe for Mo Bamba.

Bagley: reminds me of an old school big man, mix of Bob McAdoo, Moses Malone (motor, rebounds, not known for defense), Larry Kenon, Orlando Woolridge, and Larry Nance.

Trae Young: Chris Jackson meets Bob Cousy.

Jaren Jackson, Jr: Robert Horry meets John Salley meets Joe Smith’s stat line.

Luka Doncic: J Will meets Draymond Green.

Robert Williams III: Karl Malone meets Gus Johnson

Mikal Bridges: Scottie Pippen meets Ron Harper meets Bruce Bowen

Michael Porter, Jr: George Gervin meets Dominique Wilkins meets Tom Chambers

Wendell Carter, Jr: Horace Grant meets Harvey Grant

Grayson Allen: OJ Mayo meets Danny Ainge meets Brent Barry/Jon Barry

Sagaba Konate: Jerome Lane meets Bo Outlaw

Jalen Brunson: Mark Jackson meets Sam Cassell meets Derek Harper

Moritz Wagner: Bill Laimbeer meets Dirk meets Bill Wennington meets Danny Schayes

Mitchell Robinson: America’s Most Wanted meets Unsolved Mysteries

yes, I’m talking bad boys Isaiah. Their tenacity and heart plus styles of play are very comparable. They even remind of each other in interviews a bit.

If Mo Wagner had a better wingspan, ergo making him a better shot blocker, I’d give him a Raef Lafrentz comparison.

I like quite a few of your comparisons, especially the Wendell Carter Jr comp.

Robert Williams is a difficult one for me because I just don’t know what he’s going to be exactly, but the potential is obvious with their talent and tools.

Brunson and Jackson is a good but obvious comparison, I was trying to do something different with snow bc they remind me of each other with their stoic demeanors and Crafty/savvy way of playing the point as true point guards.

I think Konate is a lot like Tarik Black.

Absolutely love some of these references, and definitely see a lot of the resemblances.

      Bravo!

Horace Grant meets Harvey Grant…and no one bothers to invite Jerimi.
