Pistons have interest in Tim Hardaway Jr. He is a budding star. It also makes sense that he would come to detroit. He played at UofM. His father, Tim Hardaway is apart of the pistons staff, and also he has shown that he produce playing big minutes. I like hardaways because he has that fire to compete…and he’s a good shooter and defender. He was the  lone bright spot in  NY last season.   It’ll be hard to see where he fits in the starting 5 considering KCP has the shooting guard spot on lock…although he had a disappointing soph. year. (especially shooting.) but he can also play the 3 spot but not full time.

Nothing that he’s shown so far says that he’s a budding star.  He’s a streaky shooter at best in large part because he has poor shot selection and is a horrid defender, one of THE worst SG defenders in the league by any metric since he’s been there.  He also has zero floor game too, so all you’re really getting with him is streaky shooting.

Yep streaky scoring punch, that’s it.

Problem with hardaway is that he never improved since he was 18-19…

Good point on the defensive end, plus he brings absolutely no all around game to the table, 23+ mins in his nba career, under 2 rebs, 0,5 steal for an athletic 6’6 SG, come on.

      Poor man’s nick young.

Could be part of a deal for jennings, 8, 38, 2nd round 2016…4th, calderon, hardaway.

If the Knicks trade him it will be a mistake. While I wouldn’t say he is a budding star, I do believe his ceiling could be a 5-10 year starter at the shooting guard spot and the 5th best starter on a contender.

Sharp Shooter’s scouting report is pretty accurate and I believe Hardaway was improperly utilized by Derek Fisher this season. He was brought off the bench and kind of asked to carry the second unit, which, like Harrison Barnes on GSW with Mark Jackson, doesn’t fit his skill set. He is most dangerous playing off of other people, as he is not an off the dribble creator but a player who can attack a scrambling defense or make the defense pay by knocking down a spot up shot. This season may help his development as a ball handler/playmaker but it’s like the Knicks and Fisher didn’t watch any of the film on this guy from his rookie year.

As a pistons fan I would love to have hardaway coming off the bench for offense.  But I certainly wouldn’t give up a lot for him.

He definitely fits Van Gundy’s system

I think this is the first place where someone called him the lone bright spot on the team last year.  He isn’t a good defender and his shot wasn’t falling last year.  I don’t think he is a part of the future in NY.  I don’t think the Knicks trade him for Brandon Jennings as some have suggested.

He is a star like Swaggy P is a star…sure he can probably score 17 a game but not efficiently. Langston Galloway averaged more points as a rookie on the lowly 17 win Knicks. If he couldn’t stand out last year on that ream I don’t see any reason to think he will this year no matter who he plays for.

I said budding star…not star. Know the difference…And Nick Young, "Swaggy P"is no where near a star…more like a black hole on O.
