I am Bi-Racial, and was very offended by Kobes insensitive comment.  it is hard for many of us in the Bi-Racial community already, we do not need hateful comments that use negative stero types like this.

calling people derogatory names like half man, beige, light skinned,  just because they have multiple heritages is not ok.

    50% Pinoy > 100% asshat

What exactly did he do? No matter how much googling I do nothing seems to pop up in relation to him making a racist pass towards Pinoys..

Having spent considerable time in the Philippines, I can sorta understand the OPs concerns.

Kobe is huge there….hes a basketball icon in different way to the rest of the world. His words matter.

Pinoys are the most passionate fans in the world…they make Cameron Crazies look like Sunday Mass.

But they’re unfortunately not very good, despite the sports incredible popularity and participation levels. And there’s nothing they can do to be more competitive because they’re genetically unsuited for the sport. Even a tall Pinoy would barely crack 6’0".

Don’t take it seriously, dude…. Why are you being so sensitive. It was obvious that it was meant to be some kind of joke or a light hearted way to tell Jordan Clarkson to be more aggressive. I’m half filipino also and I didn’t get hurt. Let it go, man. I don’t really like Kobe all that much either

Filipinos are the most sensitive people in the world. Fact. I’m one myself and I’m sick of it.

I think it wasn’t so bad, clearly pretty offensive but it is an accepted reality among the NBA and in America in general that blacks are superior in athleticism and can therefore "attack harder" than any other race, doesn’t mean that all blacks are better than all other races. I also think it was said in jest. Still not a good moment for the Mamba though.

Also, so good to see fellow filipinos in the site. Its actually pretty funny how most filipinos always cry foul anytime our race gets attacked when we filipinos may be the most racist people based on how we joke around.

Amen to the two people who commented before me. We’re the most butthurt and sensitive people in the world and yet we make fun of everyone. We can’t take criticism or jokes when we dish it out regularly. That’s why our people never fucking do great in anything and we aren’t very liked.
