    They didn’t look bad either!!!

Embeast definitely can stretch out the defense, he’s shooting a Red Hot 50% from 3 point line

Okafor can definitely beat bigman up down low and can actually put the ball on the floor as well…

They only experimented with them at PF and C for a few minutes so far, but I can see them working out offensively, Okafor is not a terrible shot blocker when engaged…We already know Embiid can defend the paint and change a teams gameplan on the defensive side of the ball…

For the folks who wrote off the Combo of Embiid and Okafor without seeing them in action, I’d tune into the 76ers/Magic game during the 2nd half…

BTW, Joel just got his minutes restriction raised to 28 minutes per game, I think 32 MPG is the perfect number of minutes to play a talented Big Guy, especially if you’ve got other talented Big Guys on the bench

Anyway, just letting you guys know, I know the 76ers are a hit button topic on the Site, so critics and fans can chew on that for a day or 2

Defensively there might be some questions, because you want Embiid to control the paint but Okafor can’t guard most 4s. Offensively I could see it working though with the shooting that Embiid has brought so far, that would allow Okafor to have some space down low

      10 years ago, maybe

I just like the idea of having Okafor and Embiid beating dudes up for few minutes a game

The sad truth is, Okafor is a "luxary" backup right now, because he isn’t being maximized in the offense

Embiid however seems to just keep getting better, I think he’s a Franchise Center, how many of those have entered the NBA recently? (I still view KAT and the Brow as PF’s)

Okafor dropped 14 and Embiid Nets another 25 points on a fabulous rookie campaign, but we lost by 17 to Orlando, who shot the ball very well tonight, even Aaron Gordon!

I think we need to trade Okafor at some point, just enjoying the ride for better or worse

They got little to no help from anyone.  Stauskas – 0, Thompson – 2, Saric – 2 etc.  Only the two bigs logged double figures…..and thats with everyone else chucking a bunch of lousy shots.  Ben Simmons where are you !

He can play most 4s.  Not when teams go small ball, but the K Love’s, Porzingis, KAT types really could all be centers.  There aren’t a lot of 4s running off screens they usually either post up or stand at the 3 point line.  He needs to work on his awareness.  He looked to be moving much quicker last night.

Since they were tanking I already assumed they would have played with lots of different combo’s before.

I like it old school, I still enjoy watching Olajuwon, McHale, Robinson, C-Webb in the post. I hate the way its going these days with players like Okafor and Greg Monroe are nearly obsolete.

I hope the sixers cut down on Embiid’s minutes – why risk it ? Most other leagues around the world only play around 20-25 games in a season. Even if Embiid plays half, that’s still 41 games right there. I hope they cut his time down to prevent a potential injury.

I look forward to tomorrow’s new Sixers thread….haha

Theres a serious error in the OP. The comment relating to high click traffic for Philly threads.

What has taken place is that the sheer number of Philly threads has alienated fans of the forum from 29 other teams.

Thus all thats left is Philly fans.

So whilst Philly threads may indeed have comparatively high clicks compared to some other low-interest threads I’ve seen lately, it still only represents 3% of the sites true potential due to people like the OP driving away the other 97% (towards DX).

And I’ve been posting about my 76ers since day one

To excuse me and any other 76er fan on the forum of driving away Users to the "other" site by posting about our Team’s prospects and draft status/targets on a mother fookin’ DRAFT SITE while guys like you, T Rex and other Ass Hats spent countless Threads Race Baiting, Slandering American culture and general being total D Bags…

I think that, plus the fact the site could use an aesthetic and technical upgrade, is what’d lead to a potential loss in Users, or lack of traffic to Threads titled "Another Hype pipe bomb"

I’m sure there’s an algorithm they could use to check the BS you just threw out into the Ether…

You really need to stop stalking myPro-Philadelphia posts if you’ve got nothing to contribute to the conversation

Saric and Ilyasova both were so bad yesterday that it seemed decent. I still think Okafor is not right for this but that’s where I would play Rishaun Holmes more. He knocked several 3s this year and I think he has a great body at the 4. Whatever he lacks technically would be solved by Embiid’s presence similarily to when Okafor played yesterday.

Okafor is way too slow in transition, with Embiid not ready to run (and probably not able stamina-wise) the floor full speed at every possession I think the two together slows down the team a little too much, and when your "fast players" are short non-disruptive guys like Sergio, McConnell and Stauskas it gets really bad.

I still have hopes in Okafor but he has to start taking a diet. he would play better if he loses 20 to 30 pounds and is able to run more.

I was actually wondering if Embiid would make the all-star game this year. It’s hard to give it to a guy who hasn’t been playing serious minutes. But the excitement factor is pretty high on him right now. Some people might get pretty upset.

Just vote him in as a starter. He’s got my vote.
