    Through 2 games,

Jameer nelson is getting 21 minutes with 8pts, 5.5ast, and shooting 43%

Jason Williams is getting 25 minutes with 9.5pts, 6.5ast and shooting 55%

When I have watched them for bits and pieces, JWill has been on the court and playing very well. He is under control and making the smart play time after time. But Jameer was an all-star last year and if healthy I have to believe he is the better of the two. IS something wrong with Jameer right now or is JWill just outplaying him?

There is no situation here. Jameer is the man. You’d have to think he’s still working his way back from shoulder surgery and the long layoff he had last season. J. Will took off the entire season to rest his knees and basically just trained hard, so he’s probably extremely fresh right now.

jameer doesnt have to score alot like last year. down here in orlando everyfan knows jameer is still the man. jameer is looking to pass more than shoot. jwill comes in with the second unit to make plays and score. while jameer already has vc, anderson , d12 and air france who can all score.

Exactly. It’s not on Nelson to score alot of points this year with all the offensive firepower they have on that team. Nelson isn’t great to me, but he is the man over Jason Williams. He is the better player, even though Williams has been playing very good offensively.

Okay, I was not aware that Nelson was still getting his legs back. He’s been playing ball at full speed for 5 months now, so I was expecting him to pick up fresh this year. But while you guys are pointing out the stats and numbers saying that Jameer doesn’t have to score as much, I was more looking at the minutes played. Backups don’t normally play more then the starters. But if it is just that Jameer is not at full speed, then that explains it.

Yea… That’s the only reason I can think of why he’d only be playing 21 minutes per game. I just assumed the coach was bringing him along slowly. Maybe the coach wants to see exactly what J. Will can do and how he can use him. I seriously doubt it’s because J. Will has outplayed him though.
