Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI think Jones may get more minutes this season as martin plays the same position as lamb. Also Perry can play the 3 or 4, maybe even the 5 in a pinch when OKC plays small while lamb is stuck at the 2 as he’s not a good enough playmake for the point and is too skinny to play the 3

BenchWarmerParticipantthey are both rookies.. Not sophomores. Or do you mean in college? Both play different positions, but right now I’d say jones because he can play a few positions, back up serge or durant depending on what they need and for lamb there’s already thabo and Martin at the two. Both ooze potential tho and look like they will be good. Wasn’t something wrong Perry jones knees?

Chilbert arenasParticipantI’d take Lamb in the long run despite PJ3s potential. Lamb fits a specific positon while Jones is a tweener which I never like.

JoeWolf1Lamb,Martin will start out of the gate, but I doubt he’s a part of their long term plan. Lamb will be great on the break next to Westbrook, and I think he’ll hit 20 mpg as a rookie. Jones on the other hand, is still playing behind KD and Ibaka, whom OKC is heavily invested in going forward. Not to mention, Nick Collison, one of the best defensive 4’s in the game. He had a nice preseason, but when the games matter, I think he’ll have a harder time getting minutes. I see Jones getting 14 mpg. I prefer Lamb as a rookie producer and going forward.

omphalosParticipantI’ll go Lamb hands down, I’ve been thoroughly disappointed in Jones since his lacklustre efforts in college. Yes they had a bad system at Baylor and no guards to get him involved, but he just seemed so lost out there, which can be said for Drummond, except that Drummond is an energetic and effective defender, whereas Jones is average defensively at best.
Lamb has a killer instinct and a confidence in his role that I like to see in a player, he’s going to make the Thunder forget about Harden in a few years.

bjcart53ParticipantThis is my take on it. Both are exceptional talents but there is a glaring difference. PJ3 throughout his college career showed he can have big games when you are playing against a team that is less talented. When he plays someone who can challenge him he dissapears in (long)stretches. Lamb has shown he steps up in clutch situations so lamb is better. Oh yeah and to respond to the original question they play two different positions.
