Celtics are shopping Perkins(not sure why) in hope to get into the lottery. I think OKC should jump all over this, if they could move Maynor and say 2 of their picks to Indian for #10, then trade #10 to the Celtics for Perkins, I think that would be a great trade for OKC.

Still not sure why the Celtics would do this, there getting old and you’d think they’d want to rebuild with Rondo and Perkins.

Dumb move, Perkins is one of the best defensive centers in the league and a huge reason as to why the Celtics made it to the finals this season, plus he’s still young.

you can rebuild with rondo, but not with perkins. Perk is a great 5th piece on a competitive team to bring toughness down low, but think again if a team would want to build around that guy. Its like saying you are going to build around shane battier

I agree with Jah, Perk is a very good defender, however he is not someone to rebuild with. As Jah stated he would be a great piece for a contending team, like OKC. Perk would bring toughness, defense, and intensity to OKC. I would be sad to see Perk leaves but if they are going to rebuild its a good move.

Wow, Im not so sure if I believe this one, Perkins is so valuable to that Boston squad, Im not sure if I believe there willing to trade him. Yeah, there getting older, and should be looking to add some youth, but it would make more sense if they were looking to move some of the older guys on the team

I see Bryan Colengelo taking this one.

BC trades the 13th for Perkins and the 19th.

Resign’s Bosh drafts Ebanks and trades Turkoglu for Hamilton.

    PG-Jack,Calderon,Banks
    SG-Hamilton,Derozan,Bellinelli
    SF-Ebanks,Weems
    PF-Bosh,Johnson
    C-Perkins,Bargnani,Nestorvic

Maybe moving Bargnani becomes a possibillity for a guy like Igoudala.

Yeah, but unless they have their eye on a top 6 pick, they guys that will be available from 7-14 are not necessarily guys you can build your team around either. I’d much rather hang on to a sure bet of a top notch defensive center than roll the dice on young role player, the only lottery prospect they worked out is Paul George,…I wonder if they have their eye on him?

Boston maybe looking to take this Franchise a whole new route ASAP.While they still can get value for what they have they might as well do it.Looks like Allen isn’t resigning and with the new CBA who knows what Pierce will do, thou he’s been a Celtic through thick and thin.

Perkins and 19th is to much for #13 IMO, Perkins is worth #13 by himself, also Bosh I doubt wants to stay in Toronto, so I think all that is just a pipe dream.

Still not sure why the Celtics who should be rebuilding are getting rid of one of their best young pieces, but it would be great pickup for OKC.

Why don’t you think Bosh wants to stay in Toronto especially when he publicly stated re-signing with Toronto is his first priority. He just needs a reason to re-sign and acquiring argueably the best Low Post defender the Raptors biggest hole (ALWAYS) would be a great reason.

    Yah that was a pipedream…

You know he’s probally going to UTAH…if he goes anywhere it’s gonna be UTAH IMO.The 9th and CJ Miles for the 19th and Perkins.

I like Perkins a lot as far as how he plays a team game, but it’s not going to be a horrible thing of the Celtics trade him, especially if they go into full rebuild mode. Rondo is just about to probably hit a really nice stretch of basketball in his career while the guys around him are in decline and the Celtics have so few trade chips. Right now they are not even sure what they are going to have next year. Supposedly Rasheed is going to retire, Doc may leave the team, Allen may not come back, Pierce can opt out, and Perkins is coming off surgery. He’s also had issues with his shoulder in the past. At some point this team either gets blown up or slowly falls apart. You can get good players late in the draft, but when you are picking late every year it becomes hard and even harder to get the young guys some time when you are competing for a championship.

I’d rather rebuild with a sure thing like Perkins than trade for a pick at the end of the lotto and take a risk on a young guy that may not be a starter. You can rebuild with Perkins, they just need to find a way to trade the older guys on their roster.

if OKC somehow manages to move all these picks around and they end up with Perkins that will be a very scary team. They already are one of the best defensive teams in the league and adding a guy like Perkins is a perfect fit. Surely the celtics wont do this though

didnt perkins just tear his ACL? maybe his injury has something to do with why they are shopping him. with sheed retiring they want someone they can count on. alot of guys arent the same after an injury like that anyway.

Don’t know why the Celtics would do this, this probably isn’t really happening. This would be great for the Thunder though and I saw Eric Maynor and the 18th for the 10th.

    @flybobbyfly

He tore two ligaments… His MCL and PCL. Who knows when he’ll be healthy enough to play.
