UC1000ParticipantWhat are they thinking? Ellington is their best 2 guard at the moment. Seems like Rubio isn’t the most hungry guy to come in the NBA and that can be a problem. I like Jonny Flynn but is he the next coming of CP3, D-Will or even Rajon Rondo. Looks like they’ll be in the top 5 for the 2010 draft

gatorheelsParticipant100% agree with you. Ellington isn’t ready to start. He is their only shooter on the whole team. Passing on Curry was a horrible mistake.

llperezI know it has been said already, but who is gonna score and who is gonna defend the sg’s? They were already undersized down low with Jefferson and Love both being pf’s, and now they are undersized in the backcourt as well. I don’t know what they are thinking.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantEllington reminds me of Rashad McCant.

gatorheelsParticipantThey have to trade Flynn.
Ellington is similar to McCants but…….McCants is quite a bit better.
Maybe the TWolves are thinking Brewer can play some quality minutes at SG.

richyung718Participantrubio probably isnt even going to be playing this year because his buyout is too high or he isnt ready idk his father said something like that…..i mean they still have a decent not good team
PG Telfair
SG Ellington
SF Brewer
PF Love
C JeffersonTheir bench is a no show i guess and am predicting they will be in the lottery again next yr

birdman113how bout Flynn to Portland for Bayless, and Outlaw, that would give them some good scoring.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI was thinkin Brewer could play a little SG because I saw somewhere that he has changed his shot since being hurt.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantA much as I hate to part ways with Bayless I would love to have Flynn as he as proven to be a true point guard in college. Losing Outlaw would hurt a bit but Webster can help if he still has his form back or go after Hedo.

birdman113i havent heard any rumors of that trade i just made it up but i think it would help both teams.

ghostfaceParticipantThe T-wolves deserve an F for this draft. They traded away their two best shooters to draft two pg’s two picks in a row. I actually agree with Vitale for once. Do you really think Rubio and Flynn are going to be able to start together? Why would they not take Curry who can play shooting guard. Yes they needed a point guard but 2 of them in the lottery? Ellington is the only shooter they have. To top it off they made a terrible pick in the 2nd round to take another pg. These are the kinds of picks that get coaches and gm’s fired. Looks like they’ll be a lottery team again next year.

gatorheelsParticipantI think they should take a look at McNeal & Christmas. Also signing a SG in free agency as well as a Center would be nice….or maybe they can make some trades. The TWolves do have some international big men stashed away now though…. Norel & Pekovc…I’m just not sure when they will make an impact.

D7H7NParticipantNo Idea where you guys are drawing up Ellington and McCants comparisons. Is it cause they’re from UNC lol?
Ellington is a finesse shooter and is an inch taller while McCants is much more athletic, explosive, and is more of a scoring guard.
Ellington is more like Daequan Cook to me

WildDudeParticipantEllington has one of the smoothest strokes I’ve seen and there’s no doubt he can come off the bench and provide a spark, he’ll do just fine… and he can split time with Brewer to provide defensive help but I don’t see them being on the court together.

butidonthavemoneyRubio probably won’t join the T-Wolves this season. I hope he does but I just don’t think so…
PG: Flynn
SG: Brewer
SF: Ryan Gomes
PF: Kevin Love
C: Al JeffersonBench: Telfair, Ellington, Craig Smith
Weak… But Brewer was shooting the lights out before his injury. Ryan Gomes is downright underrated, and Craig Smith is a solid rotation player.
Rubio gives them insurance at the point guard position and makes their backcourt that much more dangerous if he comes in. He could start insteed of Flynn.
Not a playoff team but if they get a good head coach this off season, I think they will win more games next season.
