Taking into account these players have all been mentioned in trade rumors recently so thats why i came up with this idea..

Greg Monroe to Nawlins for Omer Asik and Ryan Anderson..

Both teams not making playoffs.. Maybe Milwaukee can make a late push but i doubt it.. But as it stands Monroe even tho a big time free agent finally signed with a small market team it just hasnt gelled for them.. Monroe fits in nicely with Anthony Davis.. has a nice inside game and what he lacks defensively Davis makes up for esp weak side D.. Clearly Asik doesnt work well and has no offensive game but could be that Defensive anchor Bucks are lacking and can only help improve their low rebounding rate.. For Ryan Anderson this is a tryout period for the Bucks to see if he fits in well.. any team can use a stretch 4 esp the Bucks whose 3pt shooting outside of Middleton is attrocious.. plus you have Mayo, Bayless, Vasquez and Plumlee all expiring so can easily afford to keep Anderson..

Just an idea considering all players have been rumored to be on the move

Bucks say no. Asik’s contract is awful and Ryan Anderson will be a free agent who would prob likely want to sign with a contender in the offseason

TBH, I don’t think it works for either. I can’t imagine a Monroe-Davis pairing working, forces them into a halfcourt game which isn’t really Alvin Gentry’s style.

Had they not traded for Jrue Holiday, they’d have Nerlens Noel at center next to Anthony Davis. Those don’t just protect the rim, they cover ground.

Of course, if they hadn’t traded for Holliday, they have the 2014 pick (10th) which they could have used to to grab Zach LaVine (he went 13th). That’d make them a promising young team. Instead, they’re… the Pelicans.

That’s really painful to read. They gave up a lot for Jrue Holiday and he’s been hurt most of his time in New Orleans.

The players are actually good fits, the two good ones, but contracts might not work.

Anderson’s outside shooting would fix a lot of problems for the Bucks, give them the spacing they used to have with Dudley and Ilyasova.  Henson can start at center, Plumlee is solid too.  Parker scores inside more with Monroe gone.

But Anderson leaves as a free agent, and the Bucks are stuck with Asik and no skill and a giant contract.

Monroe next to Davis should be a good fit, but it depends on who else is there and if they will share the ball.  Davis has to get the most shots, but if Gordon, Evans and Holiday are still around then Monroe won’t get a lot of shots, and then he becomes a large contract with low production.

A better trade for New Orleans than Milwaukee, due to contracts.

I think a Monroe/Davis pairing makes a lot of sense.  With Monroe, you need a big next to him that can shoot a bit and defend; in that way, Davis is perfect for him.

I don’t think Milwaukee would bite on this kind of offer though.  I’m not really sure what Milwaukee would want from New Orleans.  I would guess they’d have more interest in Jrue than they would in Asik or Anderson’s expiring.

There is no guarantee the Pelicans would’ve selected Noel.  The trade was already agreed upon in principle prior to N.O. selecting him.

The Pelicans likely would not have selected Noel for themself because of the injury risk factor and at the time the needed a point badly and Noel would’ve been viewed as a redundancy with Davis still being considered a center at the time.
