    Pavlovic, Wolves Agree To Terms

    Sep 15, 2009 9:13 PM EST

Sasha Pavlovic, recently waived by the Suns, has agreed to sign with the Timberwolves on a one-year, $1.5 million contract.

The Knicks also expressed interest in Pavlovic.

good move they can really use him, the Wolves picked up two cheap steals this offseason in him and Hollins who can play d which is what their team needs.

yeah, I agree with birdman. The wolves needed some size at sg and Pavlovic can play. And Hollins will have a real solid year for them, mark my words.

lol i gave you a point and even though the Rubio thing was stupid. Minnesota is starting to make moves and it could pay off. They would be a playoff team in the East with this line up but maybe at least competitive in the West.

I think it is flynn, pavlovic, gomes, love, jefferson. I think sessions will be the top 6th man and play a little at both gaurd spots, but i don’t like him as a starting 2. Ellington has a chance to battle pavlovic for the starting sg spot as well. Hollins hsould get a lot of minutes off the bench becaus ehe is an athletic 7 foot shot blocker who can run the court and play above the rim, things that Love and Jefferson don’t really do. Regardless, the wolves are my pick for worst record in the league.

The Ryan Hollins signing was a good steal for them and so is this… Pavlovic will be given more minutes this year if he stays with the Wolves… More minutes than with Cleveland last season… It is a good signing for a team that needs his size…

    I think its

    PG: Sessions
    SG: Pavlovic
    SF: Gomes
    PF: Love
    C: Jefferson

What about Ellington any chance he starts even if he’s a rookie.

I think it’s going to be:

    PG: Sessions
    SG: Pavlovic
    SF: Gomes
PF: Jefferson ( Puts Jefferson into his ture position making him more effective.)
    C: Hollins

This makes the team more balance offenses and defense.

Flynn will take over PG mid way through the season, that way there is not so much pressure on right away.
Ellington might also take over the SG position mid way through the season as long as he hits his shots.
Love will always be a bench player even though he’s a double double guy. Love the guy but it’s the truth.

Having these 3 guys come on as your secondary team is not that bad if you think about it. Makes the team pretty flexible. Don’t forgot they still have Brewer, who’s kind of up in the air right now.

      I too like this lineup:

PG Session ( a good distributor)
SG Pavlovic ( a good defender and decent 3 pt shooter when given a chance)
SF Gomes ( a good rebounder, a decent defender )
PF Jefferson ( the so called ‘ experts’ say PF is his natural position anyways)
C Hollins ( a much better shot blocker that Love or Jefferson)

I’m not so sure about Brewer. He hasn’t done anything to impress me as of yet.. I just hope he gained some weight and worked on his shooting in the off-season.

Flynn, Ellington and Love are good for bench players and should be able to step in and start if need be.

The Wolves need to get rid of Cardinal and they should have never traded Richardson for Blount IMO.. he ( blount)was with our team a few years ago and wasn’t very good. The wolves need a guy like Richardson more than a guy like Blount.

I too think the wolves may do better than everyone expects.. but being in the West, they don’t have much of a chance to make it to the playoffs… but being a wolves fan it would be nice to see them make it in. 😉
