WhodunitParticipantIf we’re (hometown is DC) getting Pierce from last year who was still amongst the 3 top players on the nets team then its a great deal but if this is simply a cash grab by Pierce than we’ll be stuck with him for 2 years. I guess this is also insurance if Otto doesn’t pan out. But its not a bad deal overall. He’ll be Walls replacement for Ariza who made his money hitting open corner 3’s last season and providing a veteran leadership and playoff experience. Plus he;ll be a good locker room presence for Wall and Beal. I just sincerely hope he isnt all washed up now. Makes me curious, why didnt Brooklyn resign him since they had his bird rights and he was one of their best players in crunch time and they really cant sign anyone else because theyve got no cap space?

TarHeelRavenParticipantHe’ll be a positive veteran presence for wall and beal. He’s been through the playoff wars and will really help a young team learn how to win. I like the move. I hope they give Otto more playing time and don’t just relegate him to the bench like they did last year.

bmac697ParticipantNice signing for Washington. Didn’t see this one coming, but peirce should be good mentor for this young team and help them in the playoffs. I thought he would have gone to clippers but I like the signing for the wizards.

JCliff24ParticipantWhere the hell did the East come from? Wizards, Bulls, Cavs, Heat, Pacers…Better not forget last years 48-34 Raptors either. This year is going to be great to watch.

ExumInfernoParticipantBiggest surpise of free agency. Nets could pay more, Clippers needed a sf and he grew up in that state. Porter and Pierce is a good combo, youth and experience, at small forward for Wizards.
Maybe this is more about the Nets, Jack or Kirilenko might start now, as Joe Johnson can either start at shooting guard or small forward. It does mean some minutes for Teletovic or Karasev too.
