This is an in-depth look at Paul George’s game by Anthony Macri of Hoopsworld.com. What do you guys think? I like Steve Smith comparison but see George as a better rebounder and shooter.

Good article, but I don’t really see the Steve Smith comparison.

Smith could shoot better, plus handle better. He was playing point for a min. And I think George is way more athletic.

I don’t have a comparison for him. I just want him to improve his handle and in between game.

I honestly believe that the Pacers coaching staff are aware of George’s short comings and with a full training camp and access to coaches this off-season he will come back with more improvements to his game. all he needs is to be more aggressive and tighten up those handles a bit and 18-19ppg next season will be very attainable.

He’s actually very similar to Granger, except more athletic. But they both have good shots and can rebound welll too.

He thinks George is a better stat sheet stuffer than a young t-Mac? Even before he went To Orlando he averaged 15 pts 6 rbds 3 asts 1 stl and 2 blocks.. Other than blocks I’d say George would probably be like that next year. I can’t see him averaging 18-20 with granger west and hibbert on the team but that’s just me

Paul George has no in between game. He doesn’t create well off the dribble, and is in no way similar to Steve Smith or Tracy McGrady. He learned to shoot the three this year, which is huge for him. It doesn’t make him on the level of a Hall or Famer in McGrady or someone who was one of the most widely skilled players in his generation in Smith.
