Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAre you serious?

mikeyvthedonParticipantYeah, I saw it on the side links. He is 23, and Pau came over when he was 19 or 20, but he certainly could be good. I also saw he cannot come over until 2011-12, so you may have to wait a while. Just was laughing that the person who had a Gordon Heyward avatar posted about the article :).

White ChocolateParticipantKnicksboy, yes I am the Jazz got a 1st round draft pick at pick #44. I have heard a lot of goos things about Tomic and he could very well be the next Pau Gasol.

JoeWolf1He looks pretty solid, but he doesn’t look to be nearly the shot blocker or passer Gasol is. That being said, he looks like a good guy to have the rights to.

McWinningParticipantThing is Pau Gasol was putting up the same numbers Pau Gasol was putting up when he was 18, but Tomics 23, Tomic could be a poor mans Pau Gasol, still pretty good though.

JNixonParticipantYou probably shiit youself when Utah drafted Kosta Koufas too huh? Tomic is not at that good. He’s more Roy Hibbert (except way weaker) than Pau Gasol.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI highly doubt it. There’s a reason he fell.
If you think he’s going to come from overseas and be a Pau Gasol, I don’t think so. I seen him play, he’s alright. Plus factor in the time he will come into the NBA he’ll be like 25. You should expect him to be a better Marc Gasol at best IMO

White ChocolateParticipantI actually thought Koufos might be a good pick at #23 because he was projected by many to go in the lottery, but now that I look abck at the draft it was a bad pick. Tomic will be well seasoned when he comes to the NBA. Your right he doesn’t have the passing skills of Gasol, but I think he might have the shot blocking ability of Pau. He is an inch or two taller too.

juves4783Participantthe reason he fell wasn’t because of his talent. it was because of the buyout of his contract and the speculation that he may not want to play in the states a la fran vasquez. i understand, you are probably too busy to know that stuff because you are assembling knick’s offseason game plans all the time.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantJuves, grow up man
I never said he fell because his talent, I said he is not a lotto talent because some Salt Lake Fans think so. He’s will be 24-25 at the time he comes into the NBA and if you think he’s going to be Pau Gasol. I’ll take that bet. I need easy money. I predict he will come over in 2 seasons, get his shit handed to him and be back overseas before age 30.

juves4783Participant….sounds like someone needs a big, FAT hug from an $11 M t-eddy curry bear.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAlright, whatever.
About Tomic, he’s not going to be a Gasol type player IMO. I think at best he will be a Marc Gasol or Roy Hibbert type like Jorrye said.

butidonthavemoneyHe is not even close to the athlete that Gasol was.
Not even close.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI’ve known this for a long time and I can’t wait until 2011-2012 when he can come over. No more problems with length. Quality backcourt, excellent starters. I see a championship coming in possibly 2012 or 2013, FINALLY.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAre you serious? You saying a 25 year old rookie is leading you to the title? LOL

McDunkintomic didnt ask for this

JazzinSLCParticipantAnd if he ever gets to SLC he will definitely be a steal, considering he didn’t get selected until the second round. To compare him too Pau Gasol at this point is ridiculous though. I think the kid has the skill set to be a nice player, but let’s not get carried away.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 11:34am #344288

JNixonParticipantHe’s not the type of player y’all need. Utah needs a defensive presence, being tall doesn’t make you that. He’s not a good defensive player. He’s definitely not the player needed to be a contender, that’s laughable.
