Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI believe Derrick Williams could be a lotto pick next year with another good season

DanEboyParticipantI like Landry Fields. He has gotten really good, really fast. Jerome Randle is the prototypical Chicago PG; tough and physical, like Collins.

JNixonParticipantTajuan Porter of Oregon isn’t a prospect, but he can get hot from 3 point land. Just thought I’d say that lol

llperezwell starting with ucla, neither dreagovic nor andersen will ever smell the nba draft. In fact Tyler Honeycutt is their best pro prospect and i think possibly the best pro prospect in the entire pac 10. Trust me, he is atheltic and long and will have a break out year next year.
Also, you should take tejuan porter and jeremy green off this list. They are both seniors and neither have any chance of being drafted.
I think 3 players total will be drafted this year. I see Pondexter going late first round and patrick cristopher and theo robertson going second round.

quinceyhodgesare you talking about green from stanford?..im pretty sure he’s a soph

llperezIs he, my bad then. In that case then he defenitely has potential to maybe be a pick. He has a great stroke, one of the best in the conference. And he appears to be about 6-6 which is good height for an nba sg.

llperezyeah i figure next year will be a rebuilding year, but green should shine and the recruiting class is deep. I’ve read two different sites, one had ucla’s recruiting class as the best in the pac 10 and the other had stanford as the best. But both are considered top 15 in the nation.

quinceyhodgesyeah…the majority has stanford’s but the ones that have ucla have them because of josh smith , who i like, but hes a hamburger away from being tractor traylor. plus in the game si saw him in in vegas and on espn he plays lazy. very talented though. if he sheds weight and gets fire under him he could easily play like dexter pittman as a freshman

llperezyeah the bruins had the number 1 class 2 years ago with 5 top 50 recruits, and that turned out to be a huge let down. Jrue holiday bounced after doing little. Drew Gordon transfered to new mexico. Jerime andersen looks like a career backup. J’Mison Morgan who was a 5 star recruit and was supposed to start from day one has looked like a walk on so far and given nothing. That pretty much leaves Malcolm Lee and that’s it. So we have to wait to see the freshmen prove it before i get excited over the ranking.

quinceyhodgesits funny because i was never excited about that class. i thought all of those guys were good when i saw them but not one(even holiday) looked like a game changer to me. they all looked like guys who would be there four years and have pretty good careers

scoutguruParticipantyea its still somewhat early in their careers in regard to that ’08 bruins class. Let’s see how these 3 guys that are left in Morgan, Andersen, and Lee do during the rest of their time there at ucla. Obviously gorden was a punk and left the program when things got tough. He said after his freshman year that he wasn’t going to transfer, he was going to stay and prove to people what he could do. We see how that turned out. The thing these guys have to understand is you have to be committed to defense in howland’s system. You’re not gonna win games by trying to outscore people, defense comes first then scoring. But I see why no one outta that ’08 class got run as freshmen, aside from holiday (and he looked like a regular freshman, not the hs player of the year) they weren’t ready at all to play…
