Iceman913ParticipantThe front line of Jones Ebanks and Butler will be one of the best in college and and senior pg with experience. Also i dont see Mason-Griffin and Gallon being major impacts in there freshman season.

FutureoftheGamenumber22. Was this a serious post? Or was this just a place to agrue that Oklahoma is the best team in the Nation?? And how did WVU get thrown into this??
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:03am #193616
ckowalskiParticipantI think it’s too hard to say right now, it’s a lot easier when you’re looking at a bracket and seeing which teams could possibly be the matchup that Oklahoma, WVU or K-state is facing, and especially since we don’t know where they will be seeded yet. I think WVU has the most returning talent and K-State has the most incoming talent, but it all depends on who they get matched up against in the tourney. NCAA tourney is based a lot more on matchups than talent IMO since a team only has to win one game.

catoosanumber22yeah it was a serious post. and everyone on this fucking site is seriously underrating OU

Knicksboy34Participantand everyone on this &$#%#&@! site is seriously underrating OU
when you lose the best player on your team, we need to see them prove it on the court. They are not better then Kansas or Texas. They will be fighting for 3rd in the Big 12
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:09am #193621
FutureoftheGameTell me why.
First of all, they lost the best player in the nation. Even with him, they werent the best team around.
They try to replace him whit a small, fat, PF who thinks he is a 2 guard.
You think Warren is going to continue to be great?? He might be but the only reason he was great last year is because of Griffin. If Griffin wasnt drawing a double team every time he touched the ball, Warren would have been average.
And I have never even heard of that other guy you are talking about making an impact as a freshman. Come on man.
Ya know, now that I review it, I think you are right. Everyone needs to look out for Oklahoma. They will be good just because you said so. You winPlease tell me how WVU got in this convo.

catoosanumber22they will be fighting for third in the nation
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:12am #193626
ckowalskiParticipantDude I respect that you have passion for your team but you need to be realistic at the same time. Oklahoma will not be 3rd in the nation at any point in the season. And IF and WHEN they do get there feel free to dig this up from the post graveyard and I will be happy to worship the ground you walk on.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:13am #193628

Knicksboy34Participantthey will be fighting for third in the nation
I’m willing to put money on that. They wont be over 3rd in thier conference.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:14am #193629
catoosanumber22first off, Keith Gallon is a stud bro.Willie Warren is the best player in the conference. The reason you haven’t heard of Tommy Mason-Griffin is because you don’t keep up with high school ball and WVU sux cock
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:14am #193632
FutureoftheGameYea man. Mark it down. If Oklahoma is third in the nation ever this year, i will give you 100 dollars. When it happens give me your address and i swear to God i will give you the money.

LOL…Oklahoma wont be First in the state.

FutureoftheGameYou have Zero evidence to support your arguement and you refuse to change your mind. That means you are stupid. Smart people are always willing to change their mind and thier views. You, however, refuse to listen to what anyone has to say, you insist on insulting me instead of having a discussion. You have given no reason thus far to support the statement that your team will be 3rd in the nation. You are a waste of time my friend.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:18am #193639

auberParticipantNot hating on you future, I think you bring up some great arguments, but Willie Warren wasn’t just performing in Blake Griffins shadow. Dude’s a legitimate pro prospect and arguably the second best point guard prospect in the nation (I rank them Wall-Walker-Warren)
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:21am #193641
catoosanumber22kncksboy, who is better in the state than Oklahoma? and FOTG, i brought WVU into the conversation to try to make a point to u
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:23am #193642

JNixonParticipantWVU will be the better team. They are a darkhorse for a Final 4 team, they have gritty competitors, great coaching, and just enough offense to get it done. They are the perfect Huggins team: They have big, physical guys, they have half court players that can execute plays and beat you off the dribble in man to man, or spot up shoot against zones.
I think Kansas State would give them a run for their money, because they play good D as well and they are more offensively gifted than the Mountaineers. They would make the game wide open, with their run and gun.
OU would compete because they have firepower offensively, but who on their team defends?? Thats why I dont like them to make a run in the NCAA’s.

Knicksboy34ParticipantIf it makes you helps you I’m a Duke fan
Oklahoma State is better then Oklahoma
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:25am #193644
FutureoftheGameYea auber, he was really good last year and I hope he keeps up the production but I was making a point. Personally i see Waren as a SG. He could definatly be good but he most definatly bennifited from having Griffin drawing doubles in the paint.
Thus far, number22, you have not made any points other than im right about you. But here is your chance. Make it crystal clear and tell me, what is the point you are trying to make.

JNixonParticipantHow is OK State better than Oklahoma?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:37am #193648
catoosanumber22yes this is something me and iguodala9 agree on. OU is better than OSU knicksboy. but FOTG,i understand i’m biased and i am overrating OU,i just think OU and the rest of the big 12 are not getting enough respect behind kansas and texas
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:39am #193650
FutureoftheGameOk. Saying it like that is respectable. I might even agree with on that but you cant expect alot of recognition when you lose the best player in the nation and dont replace him. IMO, being underrated and overlooked puts your team in a great postions to come into a game and clean the floor. Thats just my opinion.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:41am #193651
FutureoftheGameAnd bringing WVU into the discussion still has made no point to me but with that last post, i can drop it because now you are making respectable arguements.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:41am #193653

Knicksboy34ParticipantOKST had alot of Sophs and that were really underrated towards the end of the season. I think James Anderson is the most underrated prospect in the Big 12 and I think in a 1 on 1 game, OKST beats OU
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:42am #193654
catoosanumber22alright man i will try to stop looking at everything from such a biased view. i was taking it overboard, and i apologize for that. we cool now?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:44am #193655
catoosanumber22i will agree Anderson is a beast
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:46am #193656
FutureoftheGameYea man. It was only stupid that you had no info to back up your statements. If you would have hit me with something that showed that you could be remotly close, it would have been different. Instead you were just saying that it was going to happen because you said so. There is actually nothing wrong with being bias toward your team if you arent ignorant about it. When I argue about WVU, I am bias, but I have evidence to support my statements and I am willing to take responsiblilty for what i said. I also understand our flaws. But yea man. Were cool.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 8:51am #193658

JNixonParticipantAnderson is the best jump shooter in the Big 12, the most underrated player in the Big 12 is Cory Higgins of Colorado. He can score in serious bunches. But OK State wouldnt beat Oklahoma, they only mathcup that OK State has over them is at 2 guard with Anderson against Crocker.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 12:12pm #193744

gatorheelsParticipantWest Virginia is the best team out of those 4. I would rank them in this order…
West Virginia
Oklahoma
Kansas St.
Oklahoma St.I’m not a fan of any of those teams so my opinion is totally unbiased.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 12:27pm #193761

gatorheelsParticipantWest Virginia is on another level. There really isn’t a whole lot of difference between OK, OK st., & Kansas St. IMO.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 12:42pm #193768

Thunder09ParticipantWow,I am a Huge Basketball fan. I think OU will Surprise Alot of you. Jeff Capel is probley the Best Young Coach in the Nation,When Duke Starts looking for a coach, they will look at him first!! The Talent we have is Amazing and u will start to remember the names of the Young Guys we got,They will surprise you,Serously. And Warren,he will probly be 2nd best in the nation!
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 12:46pm #193769

Knicksboy34ParticipantAs a Duke fan, I rather have Jamie Dixon over Jeff Capel
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 12:54pm #193770
McWinningParticipantnone of these will get very far. i think west virgina gas the best chance of making it to the sweet 16.
