Before 2014 #1 pick, Andrew Wiggins, was dealt to the Minnesota Timberwolves everyone thought it would be great for him to learn from LeBron, but what about Otto Porter Jr. learning from future Hall of Famer, Paul Pierce?…The Wizards signing Paul Pierce wasn’t only a great short term move for them, but also a real beneficial move for the 2013 #3 pick development…Porter had a stellar Summer league and is starting the season healthy this time around unlike last season…I think Pierce keeps the seat warm for this season and by next season (2015-2016) Porter should be the starter at small forward for the Wizards, putting "The Truth" in a 6th man role…By the 2015-2016 season Porter should be the all-round stud he was at Georgetown…He probably may breakout enough to be used in a potential sign & trade for hometown favorite Kevin Durant, in the Summer of 2016 if KD elects to leave the Thunder to return home

It is still way too early to call Otto Porter a bust. Sure #3 overall probably was too high for him, but getting injured and not even joining the team until halfway through the season (most of all it was his rookie season) really gave him no confidence. After his performance in Summer League, I definitely could see Porter stepping it up this year, especially learning from Paul Pierce, I doubt he will end up being as bad as everybody was seeing he will be last year.

He will def get enough playing time, after losing Ariza they need someone to guard the teams best player. Brad Beal is way to short to guard some of the top 3 man and pierce can hold his own but I wouldnt want that to be his role. So if OTTO can do that on a playoff team he should be solid for the future.

    I don’t know.

Otto Porter sounds like a guy who peaked in 1935.

Since when did Don start making decent posts? I been gone too long apparently.

I still have hopes for Otto Porter, I actually was pretty high on him last year and drafted him in my fantasy league despite my own rule of never draft a rookie. Well it was a mistake.
