    http://www.kentucky.com/2010/03/24/1196101/uks-bledsoe-orton-taking-serious.html

Bledsoe was even more direct. “I mean, it’s a good possibility,” he said before adding that his immediate priority would be to advance Kentucky far in this NCAA Tournament.

Orton made it sound like if he believes he’ll be taken with one of the first 14 picks, the so-called lottery section of the first round, the financial implications would be almost impossible to ignore.

“More than anything, it’s money,” he said. “In this world, there’s only one color that matters, and that’s green.

“If that’s an option, then that’s real important. I’ve got to (explore) that option.”
When asked if being projected as a lottery pick would make the critical difference in his decision to stay in college or turn pro, Orton said, “Probably so. More than anything, I know I can stay another year and move up the draft board.”

Orton attributed his draft profile to Kentucky’s success this season.

“The position the team is in,” Orton said. “… I do believe I’ve started playing real well. But more so than anything, the position the team is in.”

The money comment is true…but i think he should have kept that to himself….so people dont think he is all about the money….I think Bledsoe should go and Orton should stay….Don’t know what to think of him yet.

both would be making a big mistake if they go. bledose hasnt shown he can handle being the pg yet and orton is just raw. in the short term it could work out but in the long run it could turn out very badly ..bledose could end up like will avery and out of the leauge. but i cant blame them for going if they are assured to be lotto picks. i dont see any lotto team taking bledsoe though since just about all of them are already set at pg with young pg’s who are much better then him

I said this the other day about Bledsoe, that if he enters the draft i don’t see him sliding past the Pacers who now look as though they will end up with a pick around 10th.

if he leaves- leave while the interest is high. If you can go top 20, I say go for it.

You think Willie Williams isn’t wishing he would have went pro last year!

I dont know enough about Orton but Bledsoe should go, his stock is high in a draft with hardly no point guards and he can easily be top 15 no problem

what team in the first round would pick a back up pg who played sg this year?

    minny
    golden state
    nets
    clippers
    76ers
    det
    bucks
    clippers
    houston

what lotto team would pick a back up pg

ya’ll dont seem to realize that most teams are set at pg on topof the fact that there are better players then bledsore int he draft. the only reason alot of people are high on bledose is because he scores points.. he doesnt set up guys very well and he turns the ball over almost as much as he gets assists. hes no better then mario chalmers at this point

Quincey he looks to me that he is not that far off of a point guard despite his scoring and just look at Holiday who was drafted high in a point guard draft but did not show that he was a true playmakers. There are not may point guards and he is a very good pro prospect and is playing well for a team that should win it all. You have valid points but that does not mean he will not get picked top 15 and will not develope into a nice NBA player despite not being a pure play maker. Guys like him are starting to get attetion after Brooks and other scoring point success. Westbrook was also more of a scorer and in his second year has shown to be a very good point guard. There are list of players who can out as primary scorers who have enough to pull it off. His prospect in a weak guard draft are too high for him to fall that far.

holiday is taller a better defender and had the hype from highschool. what has bledose shown to suggest hes not that far off of a pg?..hes a pretty good defender and he scores… thats it.. he hasnt shown he’s a set up man and he’s shown he turns the ball over a bit much while not being the primary ball handler. you say brooks and westbrook but hes not as good as either of them when they were coming out. thats the difference

I’ve seen both of them play a hundred times and they are very similar….Eric Bledsoe doesn’t take a back seat to anyone when it comes to athleticsm….

doesnt take a back seat to anyone?..lol…sorry but no hes not the athlete westbrook is and he takes a back seat to kevin johnson easily. kjdidnt just pin guys he would bang on them. he also takes a back seat to nat robinson, derrick rose, john wall, shannon brown, farmar, dwill, eric gordan and hes shorter then most of them.
