Memphis MadnessParticipantSupposedly, Isaac played point guard in high school.
Supposedly, so did Payton.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantIs Issac going to play Sf or PF at next level?

HeroescantdieParticipantI think Isaac will play the 3 with gordon manning the 4,
Personally I wish they drafted smith,

Andv1 WaitingParticipantSmith is better than any PG on their roster, I thought Issac and A.G are kind of similar players which is why this pick makes very little sense to me..Don’t get me wrong if they were drafting on Potential Issac makes sense and could turn into a nice pick up but it all depends on what his actual skill set is and how he can shoot..

90sNYKParticipantI really like the Isaac pick and still believe in Elfrid Payton.
Payton
Fournier
Isaac
Gordon
Vucevic
The line up above is pretty formidable if Payton and Gordon improve and Isaac can develop.
You have long and athletic pieces that can become really pesky defenders (minus Fournier and Vucevic) and decent to pretty good shooters (minus Payton).
Dennis probably is a homerun but I think there should always be concerns about a player whose bread and butter is athleticism and has already had a major injury. We’ve seen it before with players like Baron Davis, Steve Francis, D Rose and others in that mold. Once the athletic prowess is gone they become pedestrian. But for every rule there is an exception like Westbrook. So if Dennis stays healthy many teams will regret passing on him but I don’t blame the Magic for taking a lower risk with an already versatile young big.
