God this offense has been absolutely anemic…the Ibaka trade has to be one of the worst in recent memory. I really didn’t understand it at the time and still don’t. If I was a Magic fan I would far rather watch a team of Payton/Oladipo/Hezonja/Gordon/Vucevic with Fournier as the 6th man. And just giving away Tobias Harris was a joke too. This is a perfect example of what happens when you try to cut corners of a rebuild. I’m still a believer in Hezonja and Gordon becoming good players but giving away Oladipo and a lottery pick for an expiring Ibaka is just awful…

Yeah that was a pretty bad deal. Lets be real…hes about 33.

That may or may not be his real age, but thats what his decline in athleticism would indicate.

Orlando is a serious relocation contender. I like Vegas.  Increased Sports gambling sponsorship could add 35% to total NBA revenues.

Wow the hypocrisy here is insane. Forgetting how sour you were when people accused Thon Maker of being the same?

The Gordon experiment at 3 was doomed to fail from the start. I remember all these scouts and people on here when he was drafted saying he was a 3/4, but I never saw it. He’s strictly a 4 in my book. Which then poses the problem if you have Ibaka, Vucevic and Biyombo all taking up minutes at the 4/5. They have a PG in Payton that can’t shoot, which also limits the space their big men have to operate in. Add to this the traded Oladipo, a solid young talented 2-way player and Super Mario hasn’t yet been able to start fulfilling his potential (I hope he does, was one of my favourite players from that draft). All in all, a bit of a train wreck that they should have been able to predict.

By the way, as a Pistons fan, I’m glad they gave away Harris…

Rob Hennigan has one thing going for him, hes good at managing contracts.. Has some good deals on this Roster.. Orlando keeping this guy around only proves to me that the Owner want to maximize profits over having a quality roster..

This Roster is not built well at all.. He’s trying to be like RC Buford and is starting to look a lot like David Khan

I Don’t think he will be as bad as Khan

      Khan drafted:

      Kevin love(His one Success)

Ricky Rubio and Jonny flynn( over Steph curry)and traded away Ty lawson for nothing

Wesley Johnson over Demarcus Cousins(Could have forced him to go ala Jahlil Okafor to the 76ers)

Derrick Williams over Klay,Kawhi,Kemba and Even Enes Kanter(who is better than D-will)..

Hired Kurt Rambis(guy should never be an NBA coach again) and Rick Adleman(who wasn’t a bad hire just not great)

Signed Darko M to 20mill contract..

      Vs

      Rob Hennigan

      Drafted:

Victor O (Best/Safest pick at time)

Aarron G and Elfrid P took the best prospects at the time and looking at who they could take then still look ok. Its now on the coach to make them better now…

Mario H- Was a High risk High reward prospect just has been unlucky with coaching choices, so far as they don’t really have the right system for him. The only other prospect you could argue to take over him looking back is Booker or Winslow but both would have been considered reaches at the time..

Trade Tobias for nothing…Was probably a salary dump either that or Skiles still hated the guy and wanted him gone..(Didn’t like him since Bucks day)

Traded Victor O who didn’t fit beside Elfrid(who they are high on)and wanted a Max which the magic didn’t fell comfortable paying for either an expiring contract, for a Vet who has playoff experience and could be brought back at a lot cheaper price than Oladipo in Ibaka next season..Could also help them understand how to win by being vet voice in locker room..

The only major move you could shake ones head is the Bismack 72 mill for a guy that is more limited than Ibaka was a bit of head scratcher…Especially with how limited offensively he is..

The only bad move he made coaching wise was Vaughn?(their first coach) who clearly couldn’t coach as skiles was the owners choice..Vogel I would give two seasons before I put the verdict out on him in Orlando..

Your right that he is No R.C burford but I would probably put him more in the same catergory as: Neil Olshey(current portland GM) does some alright moves but does some overpays in there at the same time..

After looking at Orlandos Salary situation, Hennigan has 106 Mil committed to the roster this year. Orlando is on the Verge of being a dumpster fire

Hezonja has looked over matched. IDK if he can fit in the NBA.

Maybe they should try to switch the starters up and start Gordon at PF and either play Ibaka off the bench or try him at center.
