McWinningParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby? id say Kaman hes younger and can be part of their future.
Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour? Ridnour Skiles will take experiance just like he did starting Ridnour over sessions.
Delonte West or Anthony Parker? Parker because their guards need size and hes a good three point shooter.
Does Beasley start in Miami? yep they have to they dont have anyone to start over hin really.

and yea0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 7:41am #201770

llperezI say Ridnour starts over Jennings from the start, with Jennings having the option of winning the starting job before the season ends. Ridnour is still very serviceable and a veteran.
I go with Kaman over Camby if he’s healthy, but that is really a toss up.
I’ll go with Parker over West just because he has more size and is a better spot up shooter.
And Beasley should start, but he’s kind of a tweener between the 3 and 4 positions. Haslem may hold onto the 4 spot if Beasley proves to be a defensive liability as a 3.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby?— I Would honestly say start both
Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour?– Luke ridnour, no need to hurry the kid. He will probably earn it some were down the road
Delonte West or Anthony Parker? — Parker , he is the better defender and can do anything delonte west can do but alittle better
Does Beasley start in Miami? yess

McWinningParticipantactually West is a good defender and better than Parker its just hes shorter, that and his three point shooting is the reason Parker will start.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantActually parker doesn’t have a better 3 Point Shooting then west. West is 40% from 3 and Parker Is 39%.
I just think parker is suited as a starter, he is those players that haven’t done any good off the bench. West can play very good off the bench and thats why i see him as a 6th man.
I see them playing roles like Dahntay Jones & J.r Smith both Parker will start 1 and 2nd quarter but west plays most of the game and clutch situations.
And as for better defenders i saw parker as a better defender last season. He was injured for quite a while but before that was averaging 3 SPG. After that he started off the bench and never really played that well the rest of the season.

McWinningParticipantWest was a team defnder though he was one of the main reasons the CAvs were the best defensive teams in the leaague.

llperezwest is a very solid defender, but like it has already been mentioned, he is kinda short. Parker would give more size which is a problem that the cavs had against the Magic with Hedo just shooting right over West. I also think Parker is a better shooter then west even if the stats don’t necesarrily indicate it. Parker also has a quicker release wich gives the defenses less time to rotate back after they help on Lebron or whoever.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantParker is very inconsistent. One night he will drop 20 the next night go 1-11

BadBoysParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby?
Should start Camby…Plenty of offense in the starting lineup with Baron, Eric Gordon, Thorton, and Griffin. Start Camby for Defense bring Kaman off bench for scoring punch in second unit.Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour?
Start of the season every team is in playoff hunt. Start Luke since he has the experience. Bring Jennings in off bench for scoring. Point guard hardest position to learn.Delonte West or Anthony Parker?
Start Pakrer. Larger player to play next to the undersized Mo Williams.Does Beasley start in Miami?
Beasley. Nobody else. You used a number 2 pick on him so the expectation is that he becomes the #2 option on the team next to Wade.0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 9:08am #201825

Chicago1980ParticipantM. Camby- defense rebounding and some scoring too
B. Jennings- he probably isnt going to start though because he’s a rookie
A. Parker – he’s bigger and plays better defense and I think his shot is more consistent
Beasley – does start in miami0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 9:08am #201826

Killer_kat12345ParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby?
I would put Camby over Kaman, for the reason that with Camby at center you have a defensive center who can jump at anything near the rim. Plus he can give the required space needed for Blake Griffin to play his position well.Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour?
Brandon Jennings would be the better starter, but i don’t think that they will start him on opening day. Mainly because of his age and inexperience at the NBA level, but with all of that being said, he will become their #1 PG within a few months at most.Delonte West or Anthony Parker?
Being a Toronto Raptors supporter, I would have to go with Anthony Parker. He isn’t a game changer, but he is one of the most humble and best team players in the league. And with the ball going to be in Williams, James, and O’Neal’s hands most of the time. Anthony Parker can score when the ball is given to him, as well as provide the starting lineup with a defensive SG to help with the flow of the game, and make sure that the Cavs have a defensive team, since the offensive end is a no-brainer.Does Beasley start in Miami?
Yes, I would start Beasley, but I would play him at the SF position. He is too undersized to play the PF and become a dominant or effective player since he will be matching up with all sorts of players with different sizes, such as athletic PF’s in Bosh, Aldridge, Garnett, Yi, etc… but most of the time he will face larger bodies such as Duncan, Pau, Charlie V, Dirk… etc
With this being the case, his quickness and explosiveness will be a better fit for him at the SF spot, where he can play against players of his same skillset and build, and NOT have to worry about helping the struggling Heat team offensively while matched up against NBA bigs.0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 9:57am #201843

Toronto16ParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby? I would start Camby. He is a better defender.
Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour? Jennings. Has more potential and seems to see the floor better.
Delonte West or Anthony Parker? The Cavs need a bigger back court and Parker is a more realiable shooter.
Does Beasley start in Miami? Yes. He needs to play small forward. But he really needs to play better defense.

JNixonParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby? Kaman. He is better offensively and is a decent enough rebounder and defender to start over Camby.
Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour? I just dont see Skiles starting Jennings over Ridnour opening day. Later in the season, but not opening day.
Delonte West or Anthony Parker? Anthony Parker. I think his size will be the factor to get him more minutes than Delotne
Does Beasley start in Miami? Yea, who do they have at the SF/PF thats better than him? Haslem? James Jones?

unaznizedParticipanteither kaman or camby get moved before the clippers play their first game?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 1:03pm #201945

llperezI think camby will get moved at some point, but i don’t know if before the season starts. If Kaman looks solid and Deandre contiues to develop, then the clipps could look to move camby and his expiring contract. Kaman is younger and could still be a part of the future. Plus he has a big contract that will be harder to move.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 1:05pm #201946

JNixonParticipantYea it would be smart to move Camby. He’s the oldest and has the worst contract. Kaman is a better all-around player IMO and DeAndre Jordan reminds me of Camby anyway and is continuing to develop. He could be special as he gets more polished.

unaznizedParticipantChris Kaman or Marcus Camby? camby, this will allow griffin to get more touches, camby starts for his defense and rebounding.
Brandon Jennings or Luke Ridnour? coach skiles will do with what he did with the ramon sessions situation, he’ll start the vet ridnour and let brandon jennings work for a starting job.
Delonte West or Anthony Parker? yes, parker adds size for the cavs, delonte can either sub for mo at the 1 or parker at the 2.
Does Beasley start in Miami? yes at the 3 spot.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/17/2009 - 1:49pm #201950

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF healthy and in shape (After returning from the arch injury last season, he was lazy and didn’t hustle), Kaman should start over Camby… Camby is a better defender and rebounder, but Kaman is the more complete player. Camby will come off the bench and the good thing is he can back up either Griffin or Kaman… Allowing DeAndre Jordan to get playing time at center.
Ridnour should and will start over Jennings. This will be an easy decision for Coach Skiles. Jennings isn’t ready… Plain and simple. Ridnour started over Sessions last season, so I don’t see how Jennings could beat him out. Jennings is young and needs time to grow both mentally and physically. We all know that success in the summer league doesn’t mean much compared to the NBA regular season.
West will come off the bench. Parker is the better shooter. He’s also a tough defender with size (6′ 6″). West is a good defender too, but he’s only 6′ 3″. I like Gibson, West, Moon, Hickson/Powe and Illguaskas off the bench!
Yes… Beasley should start, BUT at small forward. Chalmers, Wade, Beasley, Haslem and O’Neal should be the starting lineup. I’ve read that Beasley has been playing small forward all summer and working on his foot speed/lateral quickness and ball handling. Carmelo Anthony is who Beasley tries to pattern his game after, so I think he’d be more comfortable at the three.
