So, I’m biased because I’m a UCI alum, but I want to put myself out there right now and say we may have signed the next Keaton Wagler in terms of going from under-the-radar to lottery. pick.

He’s a 4-star point guard named Josiah Johnson, and I encourage you to watch some of his highlights on YouTube. Sure, they’re highlights, and they’re not the flashy John Wall mixtape type of videos. but still…I can’t help but see a Kris Dunn with more offensive potential. Tight handle. Great PG size. Athletic. Great vision. Strength.

What’s interesting is that he may not play on Sundays for religious reasons (likely a major reason why UCI was able to sign him). This may complicate his NBA aspirations (if the NBA even is a priority for him).

Anyway, it’s difficult to know what a freshman will perform like (even 5-stars), but I’ve got a feeling about this one…Let’s check back in a year from now.

    .
Oh dear… You invent a God almighty, you make him the creator of the universe — of galaxies and black holes and quarks and genes and mathematics and consciousness –, but then you somehow convince yourself that he gets all worked up if you play basketball on the wrong day… Epidemics, cancer, or natural disasters, apparently he doesn’t mind… But playing basketball on a Sunday? Now THAT makes him very angry… And if you ask Jews, who also worship Yahweh, they will tell you it’s on Saturday you shouldn’t play basketball… They’re adamant: Saturday, not Sunday!

    Religion…
