Last night at the kings game, the crowd and Paul Westphal could not get enough of Omri Casspi. Compared to other foreign players that have tryed to make it to the NBA, Omri has transitioned the fasted other than Pau Gasol despite having the whole weight of Israel on his shoulders. Even though the comparison to Manu Ginobli may seem like an unreachable comparison, just watch him drain 3’s, out-rebound bigmen, and out hustle every one on the court. Also, everyone but the whole kings staff is concerned for his 3-15 free throws. Westphal laughs at these stats knowing that everyday in practice Omir can drain 50 free throws in a row and is now one of the king’s best shooters.

casspi looks good and is growing fast on me. But I don’t see the Manu comprison, they don’t play alike. And I’m not sure he has adjusted to the nba faster then any foreign player not named Gasol, in fact I know that’s not true.

he is a very good player..i like his game..yeah i dont agree with the transition faster then any other player other then gasol..pauls brother did pretty good last year

Manu is a shooting guard who can play a little bit of point… I remember Omri being compared as a combo of Andres Nocioni and Hedo Turkoglu… (PS: Nocioni of the Bulls before that $36 Million contract NOT the Nocioni now..LOL)..

Casspi has been playing like a veteran of 10 years now and he has impressed me very well… I am keeping an eye on him for the rest of this season…

He played rustily in the Summer League but he has shown that he plays well in real games like this… Kings drafted well at 23…
