R-Dot-13ParticipantI know its early.. but who else thinks they have a legit shot at the playoffs this year?
Durant is going to be in the scoring title race..
Westbrooks playing like an all star
the whole team is playing well and they won their first 2 games..what does everyone else think?

grizz_fan7Participantno they are not going to the playoffs, around 30 wins sounds appropriate

IndianaBasketballParticipantAre we seriously even discussing the Thunder making the playoffs in the West after beating two non-playoff teams?

thetruthParticipantwhat yall say. but the thunder have a chance to make it. durant is doing very well so far this year and will contiune to. plus the boy put on some weight which should help him in the post and bigger defenders. green is underrated, plus westbrook is showing people why they pass on rubio. add harden who is a good scorer, a good young coach, i think if this team continues to do well it will build their confidence. im say 36-40 games.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Thunder play in the West, not the East. How can you say they have a chance to make it, but then predict they’ll win 36-40 games? That’s not enough to make the 8th seed in the West. They’ll at least need to win 48 games minimum to make the playoffs in the West.

thetruthParticipantbut you never know .

janestis308ParticipantI am a big fan of OKC but they are still a year away. I think they will find good success at home but will continue to really struggle on the road. I see them on the bubble 9-10 in the west when all is said and done.
That being said they have built a tremendous core of young players and are building the right way. Rather than going after FA’s that may fit their needs they continue to be patient build through the draft and sign under the radar players like Sefolosha and Kristic that will be solid contributors for the next couple of years.

quincey hodgesyeah green is very underrated…some of yall talk about anthony randoplh or thaddeous young but i think green is better then both right now and possibly in the future..hes big strong can handle shoot, rebound and defend..the other 2 could be better because they are younger and still working into there games but right now green i better…not sure if i can say they are going to make the playoffs in the west though..i gotta ee how they do against some better teams in the wet

The Big Ogreen reminds me of (a more athletic) with better defensive stance

JNixonParticipantGreen is very good all-around, but he needs to find a niche and probably play on the wing to be his best. I agree that he’s better than Thad and Randolph right now, but I think Randolph will pass him and Thad will be the same level player when it’s all said and done. But the Thunder are a year away from really being a threat for the playoffs. They have almost as much young talent up and down their roster as Portland.

quincey hodgeswith that team i dont think he needs to play on the wing..his nitch is to do what hes doing..just like lamar odom he doesnt have to play on the ing all the time or in the post all the time which will make him very valuable to this any any other team..id love to have a player who can play well at both poition then one who just plays well at one position..im just not convinced in randolph yet..i been saying that for 2 years now even with just about everyone saying he will be this good or that great. i could be wrong so we shall see

JNixonParticipantBut Green is held back by not playing SF and not having anything in particular he’s not a standout at. Same thing with Odom, he’s a good good player, but he’s not nearly as good as he should be because of his lack of a standout skill. Versatility is all good, but he’s not as good as he should and could be because he’s not playing his natural spot.

lalailaParticipantI’m starting to worry why Harden playing under 20min. Is it just Gordon like carrer start or he won;t play alot

IndianaBasketballParticipantI agree with what Iggy said about OKC having as much talent down their roster as Portland. I actually think OKC has more team chemistry than Portland though. I think their pieces fit together better. They need one more piece to throw in their front court and they’ll be in the playoffs.

lalailaParticipantI’m thinking about drafting Cole Aldrich in the draft

quincey hodgeshes not held back because hes doing everything at the pf position that okc had him do at the small foward position..it would be difference if they told him they wanted him to just be a back to the basketball player but they arent..playing with durant hes always gonna be more limited then what he could be on another team..watching them play its like a perfect fit with them 2 and him at the pf because of the mismatches he creates while having powerfowards check him..he would have less of that same mismatch as a small foward especially if hed try to post as a sf when they would already have 2 other big men (pf,c) in the game..a good player will reach there potenial where ever you put him on the floor..like shawn marion

quincey hodgesas far as the draft they need to just get the best avalible player..kristic is very good as well as green, durant, westbrook and harden(eventually we hope)..just need to shore up the bench and draft the best avalible
